Purchase and delivery
How do I buy an Eva Mattress?
The Eva Mattress can be purchased online through the official Eva website. Ordering is straightforward, and once your order is placed, delivery is quick and efficient.
Eva offers free next-business-day delivery to metro areas of Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and Hobart (when ordered before 2pm). Regional and rural deliveries are also available, though delivery times vary depending on location and courier schedules.
Some metro areas fall into “limited serviced” zones, where delivery may only occur on certain days of the week. Delivery to these areas may incur a $129 fee. For VIC and NSW metro areas, Saturday delivery is also available for $95.
Our box arrived in decent condition, and we noticed immediately that the box is heavy. This is in part due to the robust pocket spring system.
We would recommend care during the unpacking process as the mattress can ‘pop out’ quickly from its packaging. In any case, removing the mattress from its box and packaging is fairly straight forward. As always, we recommend having two people on hand to unpack a mattress in a box.
Unpacking the Eva Mattress should only take 5-10 minutes, and we allowed it to decompress for 48 hours before testing. You can see this mattress in ‘real life’ in our video review above.
Aesthetics and Presentation
What does it look like in real life?
The Eva Mattress presents with a clean and modern design that should suit most bedroom styles. Its white quilted top cover has a simple, understated look, while the grey side panels give it a neat, contemporary finish.
The mattress also features an Eva brand label on the side, which adds a touch of detail without being distracting. At 28cm high, the mattress has a solid profile that feels substantial but not oversized, making it compatible with most standard fitted sheets.
Overall, the Eva Mattress gives off a tidy and stylish appearance, with finishes that reflect its price point and category.
Mattress construction
What’s inside the Eva Mattress?
This is an innerspring mattress that combines multiple foam layers with a precision-engineered spring system.
1. Breathable Fabric Cover
The top cover is made from a breathable polyester fabric that flexes well with body movements. It gives the mattress a simple, clean surface that helps maintain airflow.
2. Gel Memory Foam
Positioned under the cover is a layer of memory foam infused with cooling gel beads. This layer adapts to the body’s shape, offers pressure relief, and assists with temperature regulation through the night.
3. Premium Latex Foam
Below the memory foam is a natural latex foam layer. Latex is naturally antimicrobial and dust-mite resistant, while its open-cell structure promotes breathability and resilience.
4. Density Foam
A firmer density foam layer contributes to the mattress’s overall support and helps balance out the softer comfort layers above.
5. 5-Zone Pocket Spring System
The support core features a 5-zone pocket spring unit that provides targeted support for the shoulders, back, hips, and legs. The spring system is designed to limit partner disturbance and offers solid edge support.
6. Strong Edge Support
The spring system has robust springs along its side pockets, helping to strengthen edge support.
Comfort and support
What’s it like to sleep on the Eva Mattress?
The top polyester cover that feels soft, breathable, and durable. This cover has remained the same over a number of product modifications.
The mattress itself has a spongy, comfortable feel that should offer enough pressure relief for most people. Heavier people (over 100kgs) may notice a very slight sinking feeling, but the mattress should maintain its shape well for most.
The Eva Mattress should suit all sleeping positions (side sleepers, back sleepers, and stomach sleepers) but understandably, this suitability will vary between individuals.
In terms of firmness, all of our reviewers agreed that this mattress has a medium-firm feel. By majority vote, we settled on a 7 / 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest).
Firmness Rating
Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
Furthermore, our firmness ratings are assigned based on Bedbuyer’s testing process and these may differ from firmness ratings given by individual companies. Mattress firmness will also vary depending on the type of bed base used.
We tested the Eva Mattress on the Chiropedic Bed Base which is a good quality bed base with rigid slats.
The 5 zone pocket spring system feels solid and robust, and provides very good back support. The quality of the spring system is quite impressive for a mattress at this price point and allows for a 400kg weight limit (queen size). So, the mattress should accommodate people of all sizes.
The Eva Mattress responds well to normal sleep movements and we rated its level of responsiveness in the ‘optimal’ zone. In basic terms, this means that changing sleep positions (and intimate activities) shouldn’t be too much trouble.
Responsiveness
Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.
The finer details
The Eva Mattress is nicely constructed and its build quality is very respectable, especially considering its price point. When you look at the market, there isn’t much better value in terms of finishings and durability than what Eva offers here.
As mentioned earlier, the Eva Mattress sits at 28cm high, which is within normal limits for an innerspring mattress. Standard fitted sheets should fit without any difficulty.
The handles are placed at the head and base of the mattress, which is a little unusual. Most mattresses have side handles, and while these would make rotation easier, Eva’s handles are still attached securely and provide enough space for most hands.
It’s worth noting that a queen size weighs about 55kg – quite heavy – so moving and rotating it may require two people. Still, this weight is reflective of the robust spring system and overall strength of the design.
In terms of partner disturbance, the Eva Mattress performs well. A restless partner shouldn’t cause too many issues, and while there is a small amount of motion transfer, it isn’t significant.
With that said, motion transfer may vary. A larger mattress (e.g. king size) will usually involve lower amounts of motion transfer. Partner disturbance will also depend on the size of the occupants of the bed.
Edge support is reasonable and should be more than adequate for most sleepers. It isn’t quite as firm or stable as some of its more expensive competitors, such as the Sleep Republic Mattress or the DuuDuu Quokka Mattress, but it still sits well within normal limits for this category.
We didn’t detect any abnormal heat retention during our testing. With its gel-infused foam and innerspring structure, we wouldn’t expect the Eva Mattress to trap excessive amounts of heat or feel noticeably warm during sleep.
Keep in mind though that sleep temperature can be complex and involves many factors (e.g. type of mattress, pillow, clothing, sheets, room temperature, humidity, medical conditions, occupants of the bed etc).
Furthermore, soft mattresses tend to be warmer (than firm mattresses) as the thick layers of foam can trap heat during sleep.
All foams used in the Eva Mattress are CertiPUR-US® certified, ensuring they are safe and non-toxic.
All foams used in the Eva Mattress are CertiPUR-US® certified, ensuring they are safe and non-toxic. The gel memory foam and base support foam also carry SGS certification, while the latex layer is certified to Class 1 OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 – the highest level of safety, even suitable for babies and children.
Eva is also a fully certified B Corporation (since 2022), which means the brand meets rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

Bed base compatibility
What type of bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend the Comfys Mattress to be used on a bed base with flat panel slats such as the Koala Paddington Bed Base.
A bed base with solid slats such as the Chiropedic Bed Base, would also be very suitable.
We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation will void the mattress warranty.
We don’t recommend the Comfys Mattress be used with an adjustable (electric) bed base. as this may cause damage to the mattress components. Here is our full list of mattresses that are compatible with an adjustable bed base.
It’s worth noting here that mattress firmness, performance, and durability will vary with different bed bases.
Trial period and warranty
What happens if I don’t like it?
The Eva Mattress comes with a 100 day trial period, which is a typical trial period in the online mattress market.
This trial period means that you can return the mattress for a refund if you are not satisfied. Conditions do apply though, for example regional and rural customers may be charged a return shipping fee which will be deducted from your refund.
This mattress also comes with a 10 year warranty to cover any faulty materials or workmanship. This is a typical warranty period in context of similarly priced competitors.
Available sizes
What size options are available?
This mattress is available in 5 sizes (king, queen, double, king single, and single size) so it should accommodate most sleeping arrangements.
The graphic below includes all of Australia’s standard bed (mattress) sizes in 2025. Again please note that the Eva Mattress is available in 5 of these sizes.
Customer feedback
What are real Aussie customers saying?
As of September 2025, the Eva Mattress holds a 4.5-star rating on ProductReview.com.au, based on over 1,100 reviews.
Most customers praise its comfort and support, with many reporting reduced back pain and better sleep. The mattress is also recognised for good motion isolation and reliable delivery service.
As we have mentioned in our review, it is a heavy mattress ( around 55kg, queen size) which can make moving or rotating tricky. A few users find it too firm at first, while some long-term owners mention minor body impressions over time.
Overall, customer sentiment strongly supports Eva’s reputation for quality and value.
