Purchase and delivery
How do I buy the Zeek Kids Mattress?
The Zeek Kids Mattress can be purchased online through the Zeek website. Orders are placed directly through the site, with customers selecting their preferred mattress size before completing checkout.
As with other Zeek mattresses, the Kids Mattress is delivered compressed and rolled inside a cardboard box. Once it arrives, the mattress simply needs to be unboxed and allowed to expand to its full shape before use.

Zeek offers free delivery Australia-wide. Delivery times typically range from around 5–9 business days for metro areas, while rural or remote locations may take up to 14 business days depending on the destination.
After unboxing, the mattress will begin expanding immediately, though allowing several hours for full expansion is generally recommended before sleeping on it.
Aesthetics and presentation
What does it look like in real life?
The Zeek Kids Mattress has a clean and simple appearance, with a light colour palette that gives it a neat and contemporary look. The side panels are finished in a light grey fabric with subtle stitching, while the sleep surface is a bright white fabric that helps give the mattress a fresh and tidy presentation.

Branding is fairly minimal, with a small embroidered Zeek logo visible on the side panel. Overall, the design is understated and practical, which suits a children’s mattress well.
At around 15cm high, the Zeek Kids Mattress has a low-profile design. This makes it well suited to bunk beds, trundles, and other bed frames where a lower mattress height may be required.
Mattress construction
What’s inside the Zeek Kids Mattress?
The Zeek Kids Mattress is an innerspring mattress that combines several comfort layers with a pocket spring support system.
1. Organic cotton fabric cover
The mattress is topped with an organic cotton fabric cover. This provides a soft, breathable sleeping surface and is designed to be gentle on sensitive skin while helping regulate temperature.
2. Bio-based memory foam
Beneath the cover sits a layer of bio-based memory foam made using plant-derived materials. This layer is intended to provide cushioning and pressure relief while maintaining good breathability.
3. Pocket spring system
At the core of the mattress is a pocket spring support system. These springs respond independently to movement, helping provide targeted support for growing bodies and encouraging healthy spinal alignment.
Comfort and support
What’s it like to sleep on the Zeek Kids Mattress?
The Zeek Kids Mattress has a supportive and fairly firm feel that is well suited to growing children. The organic cotton cover feels soft and breathable to the touch, creating a comfortable sleeping surface that should be gentle on sensitive skin.
Beneath the cover, the main comfort layer has a medium-density feel that provides a good level of cushioning without feeling overly soft. This should offer plenty of comfort for most children while still maintaining adequate support.
Our testing team rated the Zeek Kids Mattress at 7.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest). This firmness level sits within the commonly recommended range for children, particularly those between around 2 and 12 years old.
Firmness rating

Despite its relatively low profile, the pocket spring system feels solid and stable. It should comfortably support children of most sizes and provide good back support across a range of sleeping positions.
Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
Furthermore, our firmness ratings are assigned based on Bedbuyer’s testing process and these may differ from firmness ratings given by individual companies. Mattress firmness will also vary depending on the type of bed base used.
The Zeek Kids Mattress also has a good level of responsiveness. During testing we rated responsiveness as optimal, meaning young sleepers should be able to move and change sleep positions easily throughout the night. This can be particularly beneficial for children, who tend to move around frequently during sleep.
Responsiveness

Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.
The finer details
What else should I know?
The overall build quality of the Zeek Kids Mattress is reasonable for its price point. While it is not in the same league as premium children’s mattresses such as the Eco Kids Nature Luxe Mattress, the materials and finish appear perfectly adequate for everyday use and should meet the needs of most children.
Edge support is actually quite good for a mattress with such a low profile. During testing we found that the perimeter remained fairly stable, meaning children should be able to utilise most of the mattress surface without feeling as though they might roll off the edge.
We also did not detect any abnormal heat retention during testing, which is worth noting as some children can sleep quite warm at night.

The mattress does not include side handles, though given that it is only available in smaller sizes such as single and king single, this is unlikely to be a major issue as the mattress is still relatively easy to move when needed.
In terms of materials safety, the Zeek Kids Mattress holds CertiPUR-US certification for its foams and OEKO-TEX certification for its fabrics, indicating that the materials have been tested for harmful substances and meet recognised safety standards. This should provide some reassurance for parents looking for a mattress suitable for children.
Another point worth noting is that the Zeek Kids Mattress includes a bonus bamboo mattress protector and a bamboo pillow. These additional items add extra value to the purchase and help create a ready-to-use sleep setup.

Bed base compatibility
What type of bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend the Zeek Kids Mattress to be used on a bed base with flat panel slats such as the Koala Paddington Bed Base.
A bed base with solid slats such as the Porto Bed Base, would also be very suitable.
We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation will void the mattress warranty.
We wouldn’t recommend that this mattress be used with an adjustable (electric) bed base. Here is our full list of mattresses that are compatible with an adjustable bed base.
With its low profile height (15cm) the Zeek Kids Mattress is also very suitable for bunk beds and trundles.
It’s worth noting here that mattress firmness, performance, and durability will vary with different bed bases.
Warranty
What happens if there is a product fault?
The Zeek Kids Mattress is backed by a 12-month warranty, which covers manufacturing faults or defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
As with most mattress warranties, the mattress should be used on a suitable and supportive bed base and maintained in good condition in order for the warranty to remain valid.
Available sizes
What size options are available?
This mattress is available in 2 sizes (king single and single) so it should accommodate most child sleeping arrangements.
The graphic below includes all of Australia’s standard bed (mattress) sizes in 2026. Again please note that the Zeek Kids Mattress is only available in 2 of these sizes.

Final verdict
Is this the right mattress for your child?
The Zeek Kids Mattress is an affordable option that should appeal to many families looking for a practical mattress for children. It offers a solid balance of comfort and support, and the firmness level should suit most kids.
Its non-toxic material certifications and low-profile design also make it a versatile choice, particularly for setups such as bunk beds and trundles. The inclusion of a bonus bamboo mattress protector and pillow also adds a useful amount of extra value to the overall purchase.
Overall, the Zeek Kids Mattress represents a good balance between quality and value for everyday use.
