Purchase and delivery
How do I buy the Dreemi Mattress?
The Dreemi Mattress can be purchased online via the Dreemi website, which redirects customers to the Clark Rubber website for checkout. From there, you can either arrange home delivery or select a local Clark Rubber store for collection, depending on your preference.
Orders are typically processed within 1 to 3 business days, subject to stock availability. Once dispatched, delivery generally takes between 1 to 8 business days, depending on your location and the delivery service used. As expected, deliveries to regional or rural areas may take a little longer.
Click and collect is also available, with your nominated store contacting you once your order is ready – usually within 1 to 3 business days. When collecting your order, you’ll need to provide photo identification that matches the name and address used at checkout.
In our case, the mattress arrived in good condition, with the packaging intact. As with most mattresses in a box, we recommend having two people available to assist with delivery and setup, as the box can be quite bulky. It’s also worth planning ahead for packaging disposal, as there can be a reasonable amount of material to manage.

Once unpacked, the mattress begins expanding immediately. While it can be used within a few hours, we recommend allowing up to 48 hours for the mattress to fully expand and settle into its intended shape.
You can also upgrade the Dreemi Mattress with optional customisable topper inserts, available separately through Clark Rubber. These are designed to alter the feel (e.g. support or cooling), although we weren’t able to test them as they weren’t included with our sample. It’s also worth noting they add a fairly significant cost relative to the base mattress price.
Aesthetics and presentation
What does the Dreemi Mattress look like?
The Dreemi Mattress has a simple, no-frills appearance that aligns with its value-focused positioning. It features a clean white top panel paired with darker grey side fabric, creating a fairly neutral look that should suit most bedroom settings.
In terms of design, it’s quite understated. There are no particularly premium or decorative elements here – just a straightforward, functional finish. That said, it still presents neatly overall, with a tidy profile and consistent shape once fully expanded.
At 25cm in height, the mattress has a relatively low-profile design compared to some thicker models on the market. While it doesn’t have a particularly substantial look, it still sits within a normal and practical range for everyday use.
The branding is minimal, and the overall look is practical rather than stylish. While it may not have the visual appeal of more premium models, it does what it needs to do and should integrate easily into most bedroom environments.
Mattress construction
What’s inside the Dreemi Mattress?
The Dreemi Mattress is a full-foam mattress that incorporates a number of different foam components, along with an adjustable comfort feature that allows you to modify its overall feel.
1. TENCEL™ / polyester cover
The top cover is made from a breathable fabric that blends approximately 34% TENCEL™ with durable polyester.
This combination is designed to promote airflow while providing a smooth and comfortable surface. The cover is also removable and washable, which is a practical feature for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.

2. Flip-feel insert layer
Beneath the cover sits the adjustable “flip-feel” insert layer. This can be flipped over to change the mattress feel between medium and firm, giving users some flexibility to tailor comfort based on personal preference.
3. Convoluted foam layer
This layer features a convoluted, or “egg crate” style foam design, which is intended to provide additional cushioning and help distribute body weight more evenly across the surface.
4. Foam base layer
The main support structure of the mattress comes from a dense foam base layer. This forms the foundation of the mattress and is responsible for overall stability and support.
5. Non-slip base cover
At the bottom, the mattress includes a grippy, non-slip base cover. This helps keep the mattress securely in place on the bed base and incorporates a zip system to assist with cover removal.
Firmness adjustment
How does the customisation work?
The Dreemi Mattress arrives in its default configuration set to a medium feel. For many users, this will be comfortable straight out of the box, so no adjustment may be needed.
If you do want to modify the firmness, the top cover can be unzipped to access the internal Flip-feel insert layer. This layer is relatively lightweight, so it can generally be flipped by one person, although having two people can make the process easier.

By flipping this insert layer over, you can switch the mattress to a slightly firmer feel. The two sides are visually distinct, although you do need to look through the white mesh cover to see this clearly. The medium side shows a darker coloured foam beneath the mesh, while the firmer side appears noticeably lighter, almost white.
Overall, the process is straightforward and gives users a simple way to adjust the mattress feel to better suit their preferences.
Comfort and support
What’s it like to sleep on the Dreemi Mattress?
As touched on above, the Dreemi Mattress features an adjustable design that allows you to choose the feel that best suits your needs.
In its default medium configuration, we found the mattress to be quite comfortable – in fact, a little more comfortable than we were expecting. It has a soft, slightly spongy feel that absorbs body weight smoothly without feeling overly firm or rigid.
We rated this setup a 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest). This level of firmness should suit most sleeping positions – side, back, and stomach – although individual preferences will vary.
Medium configuration
When the Flip-feel Insert layer is reversed to create the firm configuration, the mattress becomes slightly firmer and a bit less spongy, with a small increase in responsiveness.
However, the difference between the two setups is not particularly dramatic, which is fairly typical for this type of adjustable design.
We rated the firm configuration at around 7.5 out of 10. Like the medium setup, it should still suit a wide range of sleeping positions, but it may be a little firm for some side sleepers.
Firm configuration

Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
Furthermore, our firmness ratings are assigned based on Bedbuyer’s testing process and these may differ from firmness ratings given by individual companies. Mattress firmness will also vary depending on the type of bed base used.
We tested the Dreemi Mattress on the Porto Bed Base which is a good quality bed base with rigid slats.
In terms of support, the foam base provides a stable foundation that should be adequate for many users. That said, heavier individuals (around 100kg or more) may find that a more robust innerspring mattress offers better long-term support.
Responsiveness is moderate overall – the medium configuration felt slightly lacking in this area, while the firmer setup performed a little better, making it somewhat easier to change positions.
Responsiveness: medium configuration

Responsiveness: firm configuration

Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.
The finer details
What else should I know?
In terms of build quality, the Dreemi Mattress is fairly basic, which is to be expected given its price point. It’s certainly not a premium product, but it is reasonably well put together for what you’re paying.
The overall construction is quite lightweight, which makes the mattress easy to move, rotate, and handle when changing sheets – a practical advantage for everyday use.
The removable and washable cover is a notable feature, as this is not always common in budget-friendly foam mattresses. The zip system worked well in our testing, with a smooth glide and a rubber zip pull featuring subtle Dreemi branding.

The mattress includes vertically positioned side handles, which show a nice level of attention to detail at this price point. These handles appear to be securely stitched and provide adequate space for lifting and manoeuvring the mattress when needed.
That said, some aspects of the finish do reflect the lower price point. For example, we noticed that a few of the corners did not fully expand or hold their shape perfectly. However, this is unlikely to be a major issue in day-to-day use and will generally be hidden once sheets or a mattress protector are in place.
In terms of performance, partner disturbance is quite low, which is typical for foam mattresses. As always, this will vary depending on mattress size and the weight of the occupants, with larger sizes generally performing better.
Edge support is fairly modest, which is also typical for a low-profile foam mattress. It’s not particularly firm when sitting on the edge, and some users may find sleeping close to the edge less stable.
The overall construction is quite lightweight, which makes the mattress easy to move, rotate, and handle when changing sheets.
We didn’t notice any unusual heat retention during testing, although foam mattresses can naturally retain more warmth than innerspring designs. Sleep temperature will depend on a range of factors, including bedding, room conditions, and individual preferences.
Finally, the Dreemi Mattress holds CertiPUR-US® and OEKO-TEX® certifications. This means the foams and fabrics have been tested for harmful substances, which is an important consideration from both a health and safety perspective.

Bed base compatibility
What type of bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend the Dreemi Mattress to be used on a bed base with flat panel slats such as the Koala Paddington Bed Base.
A bed base with solid slats such as the Sleep Republic Deluxe Bed Base, would also be very suitable.
We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation will void the mattress warranty.
We don’t recommend the Dreemi Mattress to be used with an adjustable (electric) bed base as this may cause damage to the mattress components. Here is our full list of mattresses that are compatible with an adjustable bed base.
It’s worth noting here that mattress firmness, performance, and durability will vary with different bed bases.
Trial period and warranty
What happens if I don’t like it?
The Dreemi Mattress comes with a 30-night trial period, allowing you to test it in the comfort of your own home. This gives you a reasonable window to see if the mattress suits your needs and sleeping preferences. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact Dreemi’s customer service team to discuss return or refund options.
The mattress is backed by a 10-year warranty, which covers defects in materials and workmanship. This provides a good level of long-term reassurance, particularly at this price point.
As with most mattress warranties, there are some standard exclusions. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, or changes in comfort preference. Body impressions within a 30-45mm range are considered normal, and issues such as incorrect mattress choice or general discomfort are not classified as manufacturing faults.
To maintain warranty coverage, the mattress should be used on a suitable and supportive bed base, kept in a clean and sanitary condition, and regularly rotated to promote even wear. Overall, the warranty offering is fairly typical for this category and aligns with industry expectations.

Final verdict
Should I buy the Dreemi Mattress?
The Dreemi Mattress is a solid value-focused full foam option that offers a number of practical features at an attractive price point. The removable cover, adjustable firmness design, and lightweight build all add to its overall appeal.
In terms of comfort and support, it should be suitable for many sleepers, particularly those within an average weight range. While it doesn’t feel premium, it performs well enough in the context of its price.
There are some limitations, including a more basic finish and suitability concerns for heavier individuals. However, as an affordable, budget-friendly mattress, it represents a pretty good overall package.
