How do I buy the Zeek Haven Mattress?

The Zeek Haven Mattress can be purchased online through the Zeek website and is delivered directly to your home as a mattress in a box.

Delivery is free Australia-wide, with estimated delivery times of 5–9 business days for metro areas and up to 14 business days for rural or remote locations. Once delivered, the mattress arrives compressed and rolled inside a box for easier transport into your home.

Setup is straightforward. The boxed mattress can be carried to the bedroom, removed from the packaging and placed on the bed base. After cutting away the protective plastic, the mattress expands and begins to take its full shape.

What does it look like in real life?

The Zeek Haven Mattress has a clean, modern appearance with a fairly understated design. The side panels are finished in a dark grey fabric, paired with a lighter grey sleep surface that gives the mattress a neat and contemporary look.

The quilted top panel features a subtle stitched pattern and a soft fabric finish that appears well presented. Along the sides, vertical stitching and the embroidered Zeek logo add a simple branding touch without being overly prominent.

At around 25cm high, the Zeek Haven Mattress sits slightly lower than many other innerspring mattresses. While this gives it a more streamlined profile, it may suit certain bed bases or sleepers who prefer a lower profile mattress.

Overall presentation is tidy and practical, with the design reflecting the straightforward construction of the mattress.

What’s inside the Zeek Haven Mattress?

The Zeek Haven is an innerspring mattress that uses several comfort layers above a pocket spring support system to provide a balance of comfort and support.

1. TENCEL™ fabric cover

The Zeek Haven Mattress features a breathable TENCEL™ fabric cover designed to assist with moisture wicking and temperature regulation. This type of cover helps create a cooler, fresher sleep surface while maintaining a soft and comfortable feel.

2. Natural latex comfort layer

Beneath the cover sits a layer of natural latex. Latex is known for its responsive, buoyant feel and offers a balance of pressure relief and support while remaining breathable and durable.

3. High-density comfort foam

Below the latex layer is a high-density comfort foam layer that acts as a transition between the softer comfort materials above and the support system below. This layer helps improve overall comfort and assists with motion isolation.

4. Firm PU foam support layer

A firmer polyurethane (PU) foam layer sits beneath the comfort foam to provide additional structural support. This layer helps stabilise the mattress and contributes to overall durability.

5. 5-zone pocket spring system

What’s it like to sleep on the Zeek Haven Mattress?

The Zeek Haven Mattress has a comfortable and supportive feel, with the top layers offering a nice balance between cushioning and underlying support. The cover feels soft and breathable, while the upper comfort layers provide pleasant pressure relief without feeling overly soft.

Our testing team rated the Zeek Haven Mattress at 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest). This places it in the medium-firm range, which should suit most sleeping positions including side, back, and combination sleepers, although individual preferences will vary.

Firmness rating

The mattress provides good overall back support thanks to its pocket spring system. However, for heavier sleepers (around 100kg or more), we would generally recommend considering a stronger innerspring mattress that offers greater underlying support.

We tested the Zeek Haven Mattress on the Porto Bed Base which is a good quality bed base with rigid slats.

The Zeek Haven Mattress also responds well to normal sleep movements. Changing sleeping positions should not require much effort, and during testing we found the responsiveness to sit comfortably within the optimal range.

The finer details

What else should I know?

The overall build quality of the Zeek Haven Mattress is quite reasonable for its price point. While it is not positioned as a high-end luxury mattress, the materials, stitching and overall finish appear perfectly acceptable and in line with what we would expect at this level of the market.

As mentioned earlier, the support system is not the most robust unit we have tested. That said, this largely reflects the mattress’s price bracket, and for most sleepers it should still provide adequate stability and support for everyday use.

Edge support sits within normal limits. It is not particularly strong, but we would still describe it as serviceable and unlikely to present issues for most users.

The mattress includes two horizontally positioned side handles on each side, which are large enough to comfortably fit your hand through. The stitching appears strong, so these handles should assist when rotating or repositioning the mattress.

Partner disturbance is noticeable to a small degree, though it is not excessive. Most sleepers should find that a partner’s movements during the night are unlikely to be overly disruptive.

We also did not detect any abnormal heat retention during testing, suggesting that sleep temperature should remain reasonably well regulated.

In terms of materials safety, the Zeek Haven Mattress holds CertiPUR-US certification for its foams and OEKO-TEX certification for its fabrics, indicating that the materials have been tested for harmful substances.

Another feature worth noting is that the Zeek Haven Mattress includes some free bedding. When purchasing the mattress, buyers also receive a bonus bamboo mattress protector and two bamboo ice-foam pillows. For king single and single sizes, the package includes one pillow instead of two.

These extras add a considerable amount of additional value to the overall purchase.

Bed base compatibility

What type of bed base should I use?

As with most mattresses, we recommend the Zeek Haven Mattress to be used on a bed base with flat panel slats such as the Koala Paddington Bed Base.

A bed base with solid slats such as the Porto Bed Base would also be very suitable.

Koala Paddington Bed Base

We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation will void the mattress warranty.

Trial period and warranty

What happens if I don’t like it?

The Zeek Haven Mattress comes with a 100-night sleep trial when purchased online through the Zeek website. Customers are required to sleep on the mattress for a minimum of 30 nights before requesting a return. If the mattress is still not suitable, a return can be arranged anytime between 30 and 100 nights from the delivery date.

In most cases, Zeek will organise collection of the mattress through a charity partner. If collection is not available in the customer’s area, Zeek may request that the mattress be donated to a local charity, with proof of donation required before a refund is issued. Mattresses must be kept in good condition and free from stains, damage or infestation to qualify for a return.

The Zeek Haven Mattress is also backed by a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty, which covers faults in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
