Sleeping Duck Anti-Gravity Pillow Review
The Sleeping Duck Anti-Gravity Pillow is designed to appeal to a broad range of sleepers, with Sleeping Duck claiming it can suit “absolutely anyone.”
Positioned as an everyday pillow, the product aims to strike a balance between comfort and support, combining the pressure-relieving qualities of memory foam with the more responsive, springy feel of latex.
This pillow forms part of Sleeping Duck’s wider sleep and bedding range, which includes their popular Sleeping Duck Mattress, as well as the Sleeping Duck Indestruct Bed.
Pillow construction
1. Outer fabric cover
A removable outer cover in a neutral beige colour, similar to a standard pillowcase. This can be unzipped and removed for cleaning.
2. Inner mesh cover
Beneath this is a secondary inner cover made from a fine, breathable black mesh fabric with Sleeping Duck branding. This inner cover also includes a small zip, allowing it to be removed from the foam if needed.

The mesh fabric is composed of 85% polyester and 15% spandex, offering a lightweight and flexible finish around the foam core.
3. AntiGravity® foam core
The pillow uses Sleeping Duck’s proprietary AntiGravity® foam, which is a 100% air-grown polyurethane foam. This material is designed to deliver an adaptive and weightless feel, combining elements of both memory foam and latex within a single structure.
The foam has also been treated with a sustainable, bio-based microbial control solution derived from coconut oil, providing natural antibacterial odour protection as well as resistance to mould and mildew.
Comfort and support
The Sleeping Duck Anti-Gravity Pillow has a fairly unique and distinctive feel that sets it apart from more traditional memory foam pillows.
It doesn’t have that slow, sinking sensation where your head and neck fully “melt” into the surface. Instead, the feel is noticeably lighter and more buoyant, with a gentle bounce during positional changes.
That said, it still offers a good level of comfort and support. The foam appears to distribute weight effectively, while maintaining a consistent level of support under the head and neck throughout the night.
The overall feel aligns well with Sleeping Duck’s description – it carries some of the pressure-relieving characteristics of memory foam, but with a more springy, adaptable quality similar to latex.
Sleeping position suitability
The Sleeping Duck Anti-Gravity Pillow is available in two height options – 9.5cm (Standard) and 13.5cm (Tall) – allowing sleepers to choose a profile that better suits their body type and preferred sleeping position.
The 9.5cm option is better suited to those with narrower shoulders, and may be particularly suitable for back sleepers who prefer a lower profile to maintain neutral alignment through the neck and spine.

The 13.5cm option is designed for those with broader shoulders and is generally more suitable for side sleepers, where additional height is needed to properly fill the space between the head and mattress.
In our view, the 13.5cm height will have broader appeal and is likely to feel closer to what most people would consider a “standard” pillow height. As such, it should suit a wide range of sleeping positions and body types.
The 9.5cm option, on the other hand, is more of a low-profile pillow and may feel too shallow for some sleepers. This height option would actually be very suitable for children anywhere from from 3-12 years old.
For most people, we would lean towards the 13.5cm option as the more sensible choice, unless you specifically prefer a lower profile or primarily sleep on your back.
Temperature and breathability
The Sleeping Duck Anti-Gravity Pillow performs well in terms of temperature regulation and airflow. The combination of the breathable outer cover and the inner black mesh fabric allows for good ventilation around the foam core.
The foam itself also appears to permit airflow, helping to reduce heat build-up during the night. While Sleeping Duck doesn’t place a strong emphasis on cooling in its product information, our experience suggests that this pillow maintains a comfortable temperature overall.
This should make it a suitable option for most sleepers, including those who are prone to sleeping warm.
The finer details
In terms of build quality and refinement, the Sleeping Duck Anti-Gravity Pillow presents well. The outer pillowcase feels durable and well-finished, while the zips – although quite small – are neat and appropriate for a product of this type.
The foam used in this pillow is CertiPUR-US certified, meaning it is low in VOC emissions and free from harmful chemicals, which adds an extra layer of reassurance around material safety.
In terms of sizing, this is a standard pillow shape, measuring 66cm x 40cm. As discussed above, it is available in two height profiles – 9.5cm (Standard) and 13.5cm (Tall).

Sleeping Duck offers a 100-night guarantee on this pillow. If you choose a height that doesn’t suit you, they will swap it for the alternative option, which provides a good level of after-sale support.
For care, the outer pillowcase can be machine washed on a hot wash with light colours. Bleaching, soaking, rubbing, and the use of fabric softeners should be avoided. The inner mesh cover and the Anti-Gravity foam core are not washable, and exposure to liquid may cause damage. If the foam does become wet, it should be dried in direct sunlight as soon as possible.
Final verdict
The Sleeping Duck Anti-Gravity Pillow is a well-executed and highly marketable product, with a distinctive feel that sets it apart from more conventional pillow designs. The “Anti-Gravity” concept is more than just branding – it delivers a genuinely unique balance between comfort and support.
While the feel may take a little getting used to for some, we expect it will work well for a broad range of sleepers. It offers a comfortable, supportive, and responsive sleep surface that should suit most preferences.
We do feel that the 13.5cm option is likely to be the more universally suitable height, and closer to what most people would expect from a standard pillow. However, with the 100-night guarantee in place, there’s a good level of flexibility if your initial choice isn’t quite right.
Overall, this is a well-rounded pillow that combines thoughtful design, good build quality, and strong after-sale support into a very appealing package.
