Purchase and delivery
How do I buy the Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress?
The Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress can be ordered online through the Kogan website, with delivery available to most areas across Australia. The checkout process is relatively simple, and customers can choose between several delivery options depending on urgency and location.
Kogan provides standard delivery for most orders, generally estimated at between 1–5 business days. Eligible postcodes may also have access to express delivery, which aims to reduce delivery times to approximately 1–2 business days. Kogan also states that many orders are dispatched from the warehouse within 1–2 business days, which helps speed up the overall process.
For larger mattress deliveries, some customers may also be offered scheduled delivery services where a courier contacts them directly to organise a suitable delivery time. In select areas, premium scheduled delivery may be available, which can include packaging removal and old mattress disposal for added convenience.
The mattress arrives compressed and rolled inside a compact box, making transportation and setup much easier than a traditional full-size mattress. Despite this, the package still has a noticeable amount of weight to it, so having a second person available during setup is generally advisable.
Once removed from the packaging, the mattress expands quickly and begins taking shape almost immediately. While it can typically be used the same day, allowing a full 24–48 hours for complete expansion is recommended to achieve optimal comfort and performance.
Aesthetics and presentation
What does the Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress look like?
The Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress has a more plush and substantial appearance than many standard mattresses in a box. Its thick Euro top design gives the mattress a soft and inviting look, while the combination of white quilting and dark grey side panels creates a modern, fairly premium aesthetic.
At 36cm in height, this is a noticeably tall mattress that should appeal to those who prefer a deeper, more luxurious mattress profile. The side panels feature a square quilted stitching pattern that gives the mattress a clean and structured finish, while the embroidered Ergolux branding adds a subtle touch without appearing overdone.
Overall, the presentation is neat and contemporary. It strikes a good balance between comfort-focused styling and modern simplicity, and it should integrate well into most bedroom settings.
Mattress construction
What’s inside the Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress?
The Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress is an innerspring mattress that combines multiple comfort layers with a zoned pocket spring support system.
1. Breathable Bamboo Fabric
A bamboo knitted fabric cover designed to provide a breathable sleep surface while also offering hypoallergenic and moisture-wicking properties.

2. Comfort Foam
A plush comfort foam layer intended to create a softer initial feel and assist with pressure relief across the body.
3. Support Foam
A secondary foam layer designed to provide additional contouring and balanced support beneath the comfort layers.
4. Non-Woven Fabric
A protective fabric layer that helps separate internal materials while also assisting with airflow and moisture management.
5. High-Density Foam
A firmer foam layer positioned to improve the mattress’s structural integrity, support, and overall durability.
6. Protective Cover
A stabilising layer designed to help protect and support the underlying pocket spring system.
7. 9-Zone Pocket Springs
An independently wrapped pocket spring system arranged into nine support zones, designed to provide targeted support across areas such as the head, shoulders, back, hips, legs, and feet while also helping to minimise partner disturbance.
Comfort and support
What’s it like to sleep on the Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress?
The Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress offers a comfortable and balanced feel that should appeal to a wide range of sleepers.
The bamboo fabric cover feels reasonably thick and breathable, creating a pleasant sleep surface that remains comfortable against the skin.
Beneath the cover, the comfort layers deliver a spongy yet stable feel. There is enough cushioning to absorb body weight and relieve pressure points, but the mattress doesn’t feel overly soft or lacking in support. Instead, it strikes a sensible balance between comfort and stability, helping to keep the body supported while still allowing a degree of contouring.
Our team rated this mattress a 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest).
Firmness rating
This firmness level should suit most sleeping positions, including side, back, stomach, and combination sleepers, although individual preferences will naturally vary.
Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
Furthermore, our firmness ratings are assigned based on Bedbuyer’s testing process and these may differ from firmness ratings given by individual companies. Mattress firmness will also vary depending on the type of bed base used.
We tested the Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress on the Porto Bed Base which is a good quality bed base with rigid slats.
The 9-zone pocket spring system provides a very serviceable level of support. While we wouldn’t describe it as a heavy-duty support system, it performs well in the context of its price point and compares favourably with many competing mattresses in this category. Most sleepers should find the support more than adequate for everyday use.

Heavier individuals (around 100kg or more) may want something more robust, but for the average sleeper, support should be more than adequate.
The Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress also responds well to normal sleep movements and we rated its level of responsiveness in the optimal zone. In practical terms, this means changing sleep positions should feel easy and natural throughout the night.
Responsiveness

Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.
The finer details
What else should I know?
The Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress presents surprisingly well when viewed in the context of its exceptionally low price point.
Overall finishing and build quality are about as good as we’ve seen in this budget category, with no obvious defects, loose stitching, or quality concerns noted during our assessment.
The side panels utilise a felt-style fabric that gives the mattress a slightly more substantial and premium appearance than many competing budget mattresses. While the materials are clearly selected with value in mind, the overall presentation is neat and well executed.
Overall finishing and build quality are about as good as we’ve seen in this budget category.
One feature that particularly impressed us at this price point is the inclusion of side handles. The mattress is fitted with four handles in total – two on each side – positioned vertically and generously sized to allow a comfortable grip. They appear securely attached and should make rotating and repositioning the mattress considerably easier.
Side handles are not always included on mattresses in this price category, so their inclusion is a welcome addition.
In terms of partner disturbance, there is some movement transfer across the mattress surface, although we would not consider it excessive. Given the mattress’s budget positioning, the level of motion isolation is generally acceptable.
As always though, partner disturbance will vary depending on mattress size, sleeping habits, and the body weight of each occupant.
Edge support is reasonable overall. While we’ve certainly tested mattresses with stronger perimeter support, the Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress performs adequately for its price bracket. Most users should be able to utilise the majority of the sleeping surface comfortably, and sitting on the edge of the mattress shouldn’t present any major issues, although some compression is noticeable under concentrated weight.

Temperature regulation was also satisfactory during our assessment. We did not experience any unusual heat retention, although sleeping temperature is influenced by numerous factors including room conditions, bedding choices, and the individual occupants of the bed.
Overall, we would expect temperature performance to be in line with what most consumers would anticipate from a modern innerspring mattress.

Bed base compatibility
What type of bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend the Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress to be used on a bed base with flat panel slats such as the Koala Paddington Bed Base.
A bed base with solid slats such as the Sleep Republic Deluxe Bed Base, would also be very suitable.
We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation will void the mattress warranty.
We don’t recommend the Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress to be used with an adjustable (electric) bed base as this may cause damage to the mattress components. Here is our full list of mattresses that are compatible with an adjustable bed base.
It’s worth noting here that mattress firmness, performance, and durability will vary with different bed bases.
Trial period and warranty
What happens if I don’t like it?
The Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress is covered by a 5-year manufacturer warranty, which is intended to protect against defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use. While this warranty period is fairly standard for mattresses in this category, it is shorter than what is commonly offered by some higher-end mattress brands.
As the mattress is sold through Kogan, change-of-mind returns are generally restricted to products that remain unopened and sealed in their original packaging due to hygiene considerations. Customers should therefore ensure the mattress size and specifications are suitable prior to opening.
Like most mattress warranties, the coverage is not expected to include general wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or issues caused by an unsuitable or unsupportive bed base. Warranty terms and return conditions may also vary depending on the retailer and delivery location.

What size options are available?

Final verdict
Should I buy the Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress?
Overall, the Ergolux Elite Bamboo Pocket Spring Mattress is a surprisingly capable product for the money. While it is clearly not intended to compete with premium mattresses, its practical performance is genuinely impressive in the context of its price point.
Comfort, support, responsiveness, and overall day-to-day usability all hold their own remarkably well, and we feel Ergolux has delivered strong value for budget-conscious shoppers.
At its current price, we think it would be difficult to find many mattresses that offer a noticeably better overall package.
