The Emma Metal Bed can be ordered online (through the Emma website) and it will arrive at your door in 2 separate boxes (queen size).
Delivery of the Emma Metal Bed is free and it can be delivered to anywhere in Australia. A normal delivery time is anywhere from 0-7 days. For more details about delivery, see our Delivery information section further down.
The Emma Metal Bed comes with plenty of good quality packaging to ensure that the components are well protected during transport. The product components were all in excellent condition when we removed the packaging.
Assembling
Assembling this bed base will take approximately 20-25 minutes. We recommend having two people available to assemble this bed.
The bed comes with an instruction booklet and there is also link to these online instructions. The instructions aren’t the greatest we have seen, but they should guide you through the process well enough.
This bed base contains a number of different parts, pieces, and attachments. We would strongly recommend laying all the pieces out onto the floor before you start assembling.
You won’t need any additional tools for the assembling process – Allen keys, screws, and nuts are all included.
The Emma Metal Bed sits 25.5cm high and presents with a distinct industrial style.
Stability and practicality
The Emma Metal Bed uses a number of solid slats that attach to the side bean and the central beam with velcro strips. The distance between each slat is 4.5cm.
The bed provides good support and stability and should accommodate almost any mattress in terms of weight and support.
The overall quality of the metal beams, fabrics, and attachments is of a good standard. As the photos demonstrate, there is plenty of storage space underneath.
The bed base does matches the dimensions of standard size mattresses, so the base shouldn’t stick out from the mattress.
It’s worth noting also that this bed base does not come with a headboard.

Please note however, if your collection address lies outside our normal delivery area then we might ask for your help to deliver your mattress to the nearest drop off location after all other options have been exhausted.
How does the delivery process work?
Emma Metal Bed orders placed before 10 am on weekdays are eligible for same-day delivery (between 2-6 pm) in the metro areas of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Otherwise you will receive your mattress within 1-3 business days depending on your proximity to our warehouses..
For metro orders, a tracking link is sent to you via SMS on the day of your delivery so that you can live track the progress of the driver.
For regional deliveries, an email will be sent that will allow you to track the progress of your delivery throughout each step.
How long does the delivery take?
Normally, delivery of your mattress should be completed 0-7 business days after you placed your order.
