The Ecosa AeroLux Euro Pillow Top Mattress can be conveniently ordered online through the Ecosa website and delivered to most areas across Australia.

Unlike many mattresses in a box, the AeroLux arrives in two separate boxes – one containing the mattress and the other containing the zip-on Euro pillow top. Given the size and weight of the mattress, we recommend having two people available to assist with moving and unpacking.

Ecosa offers free delivery to many metropolitan areas across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. In eligible metro locations, next-day delivery may be available for orders placed before 11:59pm on weekdays, subject to stock availability and delivery capacity.

Our mattress arrived in excellent condition and was well protected throughout transit. Both boxes include sturdy carry handles, while the main mattress box also features two integrated wheels that make it considerably easier to manoeuvre than many competing boxed mattresses.

The mattress is wrapped in eco-friendly plastic and secured with compostable tape. Ecosa also includes a welcome pack containing product information and a plastic safety cutter to assist with unpacking.

Unpacking was straightforward and took approximately 10–15 minutes. One small tip is to lay the box on a side where the carry handles won’t catch on the plastic wrapping as the mattress is being removed, as this can occasionally make the process a little more awkward.

Once the mattress has fully expanded, simply position the Euro pillow top on the mattress and zip it into place for a secure, seamless fit.

As part of our normal testing process, we allowed the mattress 24 hours to fully expand before commencing our assessment.

For customers located outside major metropolitan regions, delivery times and charges may vary depending on location. Some regional areas may attract an additional delivery fee.

How does the customisation work?

When the zip-on Euro pillow top is attached, the mattress delivers a luxurious Medium Plush feel, with the additional cushioning creating a softer, more cloud-like sleeping surface. Removing the pillow top reveals the mattress underneath, resulting in a Medium feel with a little less cushioning and a more supportive sleep surface.

We found this to be a practical and user-friendly design. Rather than requiring users to unzip the mattress cover and rearrange internal comfort layers, customising the firmness simply involves attaching or removing the pillow top.

While the pillow top is substantial and may require two people to position on larger mattress sizes, the process is straightforward and only takes a few minutes.

The pillow top provides excellent pressure relief and a wonderfully plush feel, yet the mattress remains supportive and avoids excessive sinkage. Instead, it gently cradles the body while maintaining excellent overall stability.

This configuration should suit many side sleepers, while some back sleepers and stomach sleepers may also find it comfortable. As always, comfort preferences will vary between individuals.

We tested the Ecosa AeroLux Euro Pillow Top Mattress on the Porto Bed Base which is a good quality bed base with rigid slats.

Removing the Euro pillow top transforms the AeroLux into a noticeably more supportive mattress with a Medium feel. While it remains comfortable and continues to provide good pressure relief, the sleep surface feels firmer and more responsive, with less cushioning than the pillow top configuration.

This configuration is likely to appeal to many back sleepers and stomach sleepers, while some side sleepers may also appreciate the slightly firmer feel.

What else should I know?

The overall build quality of the Ecosa AeroLux Euro Pillow Top Mattress is excellent. The materials, stitching, and finishings are all of a high standard, resulting in a mattress that feels premium, well constructed, and built to last.

The mattress features four horizontally positioned side handles (two on each side), making it easier to rotate, manoeuvre, and transport when required. The handles are generously sized, comfortably accommodating larger hands, and are securely attached with reinforced stitching that inspires confidence when lifting the mattress.

Partner disturbance is also very good. The pocket spring system effectively isolates motion, helping to minimise movement transfer between sleepers. As with all mattresses, larger sizes such as king and super king generally provide even lower levels of partner disturbance due to the increased sleeping space.

Edge support is impressive. While the pillow top naturally creates a slightly softer feel around the perimeter, the mattress remains supportive and holds its shape well, allowing users to comfortably sit or sleep close to the edge.

The duck down used in the pillow top is certified under both the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and Downpass certification programs, providing reassurance that it has been responsibly sourced.

The fabric materials are also certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), reflecting Ecosa’s commitment to incorporating recycled materials into the mattress.

Other details

As with most mattresses, we recommend the Ecosa AeroLux Euro Pillow Top Mattress to be used on a bed base with solid slats such as the Ecosa Haven Bed Frame.

Ecosa Haven Bed Frame

We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation may void the mattress warranty.

Trial period and warranty

What happens if I don’t like it?

The Ecosa AeroLux Euro Pillow Top Mattress comes with a 100 night trial period, allowing customers to test the mattress in their own home and return it if it is not suitable.

Ecosa recommends sleeping on the mattress for at least 14 nights before making a decision, as it can take time for the body to adjust to a new sleep surface. If a return is requested, Ecosa will generally arrange collection through one of its charity partners, with returned mattresses typically donated rather than sent to landfill.

Some conditions do apply. Customers must retain proof of purchase, and returned mattresses must be free from stains, mould, odours, bed bugs, or other damage.

The mattress is also backed by a 10 year limited warranty, providing additional peace of mind and helping to reinforce the long-term value of the Ecosa AeroLux Euro Pillow Top Mattress.
