Purchase and delivery
How do I buy the Dreamsuite Flex Cool Gel Memory Foam Mattress?
The Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress is available to purchase online through the Sleeping Giant website, or in person at Sleeping Giant stores across New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia.
Buying in-store gives customers the opportunity to view and test the mattress before purchasing, while online orders are delivered directly to your home via Sleeping Giant’s distribution network.

Delivery times depend on stock availability and delivery location.
For customers in Sydney Metro, Melbourne Metro, and Brisbane Metro, in-stock mattresses are delivered on the day they are dispatched. If the mattress needs to be sourced from another warehouse, delivery may take up to an additional 10 days.
For locations outside major metro areas, delivery generally takes between 1–10 days, depending on the destination, including:
- NSW: Central Coast, Newcastle, Katoomba / Blue Mountains, Wollongong, Goulburn
- VIC: Hoppers Crossing, Tullamarine, Geelong, Frankston
- ACT: Canberra metropolitan area
- QLD: Gold Coast, North Lakes, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Coolangatta
- SA: Adelaide metropolitan area
Once an order is processed, Sleeping Giant provides final delivery confirmation and scheduling details.
As with most mattresses in a box, the Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress arrived compressed and rolled inside a cardboard box, which was in reasonable condition on delivery.
There was a noticeable amount of packaging to dispose of, including cardboard and plastic, so allowing adequate bin space is recommended. An information leaflet and a cutting tool were included in the box, however, we found the cutting tool was not particularly sharp or effective, though it’s still worth noting that one is provided.
As per our standard testing procedure, we allowed the mattress to fully decompress for 48 hours before commencing our hands-on testing.
Aesthetics and Presentation
What does it look like in real life?
The Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress has a clean, contemporary appearance, finished in a neutral grey and white colour palette with subtle charcoal accents. The removable Tencel cover contributes to a simple, modern look that suits a wide range of bedroom styles.
At 25cm high, the mattress has a balanced, streamlined side profile with minimal visual detailing. The all-foam construction allows it to sit neatly on an adjustable base, maintaining a uniform appearance when articulated.
Mattress construction
What’s inside the Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress?
1. Tencel fabric cover
The Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress is finished with a removable Tencel fabric cover made from eucalyptus-derived fibres. The cover gives the mattress a clean, refined surface appearance and can be removed for machine washing.

2. Bamboo charcoal memory foam comfort layer
Beneath the cover sits a layer of bamboo charcoal–infused memory foam. This is the primary comfort layer of the mattress and is designed to deliver close body contouring while forming the upper visual layer within the mattress profile.
3. High rebound comfort foam
Below the memory foam is a transitional high rebound comfort foam layer. This layer adds structure between the comfort and support layers and contributes to the mattress’s overall layered construction.
4. 3-zone convoluted support foam
The core of the mattress consists of a 3-zone convoluted support foam base. This layer is visually identifiable by its wave-cut design and forms the main structural component of the mattress, providing differentiated support zones through the centre and edges.
5. Anti-slip base fabric
The mattress is finished with a dark grey anti-slip base fabric. This final layer completes the construction and helps keep the mattress securely positioned on flat or adjustable bed bases.
Comfort and support
What’s it like to sleep on the Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress?
The Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress has a spongy, adaptive feel similar to the Flex Cool option, with the surface compressing easily and contouring to the body. During testing, we noted a slightly deeper sinking or dipping sensation, which gives the mattress a more enveloping feel through the comfort layers.
Our team rated this mattress at 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale, placing it in the medium (or medium-firm) range. While it doesn’t feel quite as immediately comfortable as the Flex Cool Gel Memory Foam Mattress, it still offers good overall comfort and pressure relief.
Firmness rating

This firmness level should accommodate all sleeping positions, including side, back, and combination sleepers. The foam base section should offer reasonable back support but we would recommend a strong innerspring mattress for heavier (100kgs or more) people.
Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
Furthermore, our firmness ratings are assigned based on Bedbuyer’s testing process and these may differ from firmness ratings given by individual companies. Mattress firmness will also vary depending on the type of bed base used.
We tested the Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress on the Porto Bed Base which is a good quality bed base with rigid slats.
The Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress doesn’t respond particularly well to normal sleep movements. In basic terms, this means that changing sleep positions (and intimate activities) may require some effort.
Responsiveness

Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.
The finer details
What else should I know?
The overall build quality of the Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress is reasonable. The removable cover appears to be of decent quality, and the zip pull is large and easy to use, though slightly louder in operation. Overall, the materials and finish feel appropriate for an all-foam mattress in this price category.
Thanks to its all-foam construction, motion isolation performed very well during testing, so partner disturbance should be minimal for most sleepers. As with any mattress, motion transfer will vary depending on mattress size, with larger sizes typically reducing movement transfer further, and the size and movement of the occupants also playing a role.
Edge support is reasonable and slightly better than the Flex Cool Gel option, sitting well within normal expectations for an all-foam mattress.
We didn’t detect any abnormal heat retention during testing, though it’s worth noting that all-foam mattresses can trap more heat than innerspring designs due to reduced ventilation. Sleep temperature is influenced by multiple factors, including bedding, room conditions, and individual preferences.
The mattress does not include side handles, which can make manoeuvring a little less convenient, although its relatively manageable weight helps offset this.
In terms of materials safety, the mattress holds CertiPUR-US® certification for its foams and OEKO-TEX® certification for its fabrics, indicating they have been tested for harmful substances.

Bed base compatibility
What type of bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend the Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress to be used on a bed base with flat panel slats such as the Koala Paddington Bed Base.
A bed base with solid slats such as the Porto Bed Base, would also be very suitable.
We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation will void the mattress warranty.
This mattress can be used with an adjustable (electric) bed base. Here is our full list of mattresses that are compatible with an adjustable bed base.
It’s worth noting here that mattress firmness, performance, and durability will vary with different bed bases.
Trial period and warranty
What happens if I don’t like it?
The Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress is covered by a 100 Night Sleep Promise through Sleeping Giant, offering customers the option of a one-time comfort exchange if the mattress is not the right fit.
To qualify, the mattress must be slept on for a minimum of 40 nights, with any exchange requested within 100 nights of delivery. A mattress protector must be purchased at the same time as the mattress, used from the first night, and the mattress must remain clean, undamaged, and supported by an appropriate foundation, with timber slats spaced no more than 7cm apart.
Exchanges must be for a mattress of equal or greater value, with any price difference payable, and a $100 changeover fee applies to cover freight and handling.
In addition, the mattress is backed by a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty, covering faults in materials or workmanship.

Final verdict
Is this the right mattress for you?
The Dreamsuite Flex Charcoal Bamboo Memory Foam Mattress is a decent all-foam mattress that offers solid, everyday performance. The inclusion of bamboo charcoal–infused memory foam, which is intended to help minimise bacterial growth, may be an appealing feature for some sleepers, as is the removable and washable cover.
Overall comfort and support are serviceable for most people, and the mattress should suit a wide range of sleeping positions. That said, while it represents reasonable value, we’ve tested a few alternatives at a similar price point that offer slightly stronger overall performance.
