Purchase and delivery
The Valmori Gel Foam Topper can be purchased through the Valmori website. Delivery is free (Australia wide), and delivery times are generally fast. For more details regarding delivery, see our ‘Delivery’ section further down.
Our product arrived in good condition, rolled up tightly in plastic packaging, within a cardboard box. Once we removed the packaging, we gave the topper 24 hours to decompress before testing. With that said, it should be ready to use within a few hours of unpacking.
The Valmori Gel Foam Topper has a plain and unremarkable appearance. It sits 7cm high which is thicker than many other mattress toppers, but still within normal limits.
Construction and materials
The Valmori Gel Foam Topper uses bamboo rayon cover which is removable and washable. This cover is breathable and contains a mesh fabric backing that prevents the topper from sliding.
A metal zipper allows for easy cover removal and washing.
The main body of this mattress topper consists of a generous layer of gel-infused memory foam. This foam has ventilated holes throughout to help enhance breathability and airflow.
The Valmori Gel Foam Topper includes 4 adjustable elastic straps (on each corner) that helps to secure the topper to mattresses of varying heights.
Comfort and support
The Valmori Gel Foam Topper has a spongy, dense feel. This isn’t surprising considering the rather thick layer of memory foam.
In any case, the topper feels comfortable and supportive, and absorbs body weight nicely. It should offer a nice, additional layer of comfort and support to an existing mattress.
Due to its 7cm thickness, it could also be used on the floor for temporary sleep arrangements.
The finer details
As mentioned above, the Valmori Gel Foam Topper has 4 handy corner straps. These straps are easy to adjust and help to keep the topper in place on your mattress. This is an important feature as some toppers don’t contain corner straps.
Removing the outer cover should be easy. Although the zip pull is small, the zip mechanism is easy to use.
