The Tempur Orion Original Firm is hard and dense and would be too firm for most. Not comfortable. Partner disturbance is non-existent and the 15-year warranty is outstanding but there are better Tempur products out there.
Tempur Orion Cloud Plush (Discontinued)
The Tempur Orion Cloud Plush is soft and comfortable, but still has a good level of body support. As with all Tempur mattresses, partner disturbance is virtually non-existent but they can get hot so best to have air conditioning in your bedroom.
Sealy Odyssey Pillowtop (Discontinued)
The Sealy Odyssey Pillowtop feels bouncy, flimsy, and unsteady on the top layer – quite typical of the cheaper Sealy mattresses. To be fair, it is fairly comfortable.
Beautyrest Black Hybrid Millennium (Discontinued)
The Beautyrest Black Hybrid Millennium has extremely minimal partner disturbance, you won’t get bothered at all with a restless partner. The top layer has a spongy, bouncy feel to it.
Beautyrest Black Paragon (Discontinued)
The Beautyrest Black Paragon looks and feels expensive, probably because it is! The material on the top layer feel as high quality as we have seen. There is a slight bouncy feeling to the top layer.
Beautyrest TruEnergy Hybrid Antigua (Discontinued)
The Beautyrest TruEnergy Hybrid Antigua has a dense top layer which supports the body well and it is still fairly comfortable. Partner disturbance is minimal and the mattress is well built.
Beautyrest Black Hybrid Millennium (Discontinued)
The Beautyrest Black Hybrid Millennium feels dense on top with a ‘spongy’ type feel to it. Comfort is compromised slightly but suitable those who prefer a firm mattress.
Sealy Posturepedic Enhance Signature Firm (Discontinued)
The Sealy Posturepedic Enhance Signature Firm is firm as the name suggests and slightly more comfortable than the extra firm version. Supports the spine fairly well but the top layer feels a bit loose and flimsy.
Sealy Posturepedic Enhance Signature Extra Firm (Discontinued)
The Sealy Posturepedic Enhance Signature Extra Firm is firm as the name suggests but a little ‘hard’ and not particularly comfortable. Supports the spine fairly well but the top layer feels a bit loose and flimsy.
Sealy Posturepedic Enhance Signature Medium (Discontinued)
The Sealy Posturepedic Enhance Signature Medium is comfortable and spinal support is reasonable. There may be some slight partner disturbance and it has that typical Sealy Posturepedic flimsy, bouncy feel to the spring system.
Tempur Hydra Original (Discontinued)
The Tempur Hydra Original has that familiar Tempur hardness and dense feel to it. Comfort level is OK. Virtually no partner disturbance but a hard sell for the price. Make sure you consider that the Tempur mattresses can get quite hot so air conditioning would always be recommended.
Tempur Hydra Sensation (Discontinued)
The Tempur Hydra Sensation feels a bit hard and dense. Comfort level is OK but would be a bit hard for many. Virtually no partner disturbance but make sure you consider that the Tempur mattresses can get quite hot so air conditioning would be recommended.
