Delivery information
Whether you purchase your Silentnight Hotel Luxe Mayfair Mattress online or in-store, Beds & Dreams deliveries are handled by contracted furniture removalists and are dispatched from state-based warehouses located in:
- NSW – Glendenning
- QLD – Kedron
- VIC – Dandenong
- SA – Mile End
- WA – Gnangara
Delivery fees are calculated from the nearest warehouse as follows:
Up to 40 km from the local warehouse: $100
Over 40 km from the local warehouse: $100 + $2 per additional kilometre
Some Beds & Dreams stores are located outside standard metropolitan delivery zones, including Helensvale (QLD), Maroochydore (QLD), Pakenham (VIC), and West Gosford (NSW). For these locations, delivery pricing is calculated based on a 30 km radius from the store, using the same distance-based rates outlined above.
For addresses outside these metro areas, delivery costs are estimated at checkout. While these estimates are usually accurate, in some cases an additional fee may apply depending on access or delivery requirements at the destination.
Delivery days vary by store and location. Most stores do not deliver on Sundays or public holidays, and some areas are serviced on specific days of the week. Your delivery date and time will be confirmed by phone or email, with a further confirmation sent 1–2 days prior to delivery to ensure someone is available to accept the order.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances (such as vehicle issues, traffic incidents, or severe weather), Beds & Dreams customer service will contact you to arrange an alternative delivery time.
Aesthetics and Presentation
What does it look like in real life?
The Silentnight Hotel Luxe Mayfair Mattress has a premium, hotel-inspired appearance. The white sleeping surface features an elaborate quilted pattern, complemented by neutral beige and taupe tones around the perimeter.
The vertical stitching, subtle Mayfair and Hotel Luxe branding, and high-profile construction give the mattress a sophisticated and luxurious appearance. Overall, presentation is excellent and certainly consistent with its premium positioning.
Mattress construction
What’s inside the Silentnight Hotel Luxe Mayfair Mattress?
The Silentnight Hotel Luxe Mayfair Mattress combines multiple comfort foams with a 7-zone pocket spring system and reinforced edge support.
1. Ultra-premium Tencel Knit Fabric
The sleeping surface uses an ultra-premium Tencel knit fabric. This provides a soft and breathable surface and forms the outer covering of the mattress.
2. Hypersoft + Quiltec Blend Comfort Layers
Beneath the cover sits a combination of Hypersoft and Quiltec comfort layers. These layers provide cushioning and help create the Mayfair’s plush, hotel-style comfort.
3. Liquid-gel Infused Cooling Memory Foam
The Mayfair includes a layer of liquid-gel infused memory foam. This layer is designed to contour to the body and provide pressure relief, while the gel infusion is intended to assist with temperature regulation.
4. UltraFlex 7-Zone Spring System
The main support structure is Silentnight’s UltraFlex 7-Zone Italian-made pocket spring system.
The individually pocketed springs are arranged into seven targeted zones, designed to provide varying levels of support across different areas of the body while also helping to minimise partner disturbance.
5. Premium EdgeBoost Boxed Wall Support
Surrounding the spring system is Silentnight’s Premium EdgeBoost boxed wall support.
This uses a firm foam encasement around the perimeter of the spring unit, designed to reinforce the edges and maximise the usable sleeping surface.
Comfort and support
What’s it like to sleep on the Silentnight Hotel Luxe Mayfair Mattress?
The Firm version has a firm and supportive feel, while still offering a comfortable level of cushioning.
Our team rated it 8/10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest). We feel that it would be particularly well suited to back sleepers, but it should also accommodate many side and front sleepers.
Firm version
The Medium version offers a lovely balance of softness and support. It feels noticeably softer than the Firm but still maintains a good level of support. Our team rated it 6/10 on the firmness scale.
Medium version
The Plush version has a soft and comfortable feel that allows you to gently melt into the mattress without feeling as though you sink too deeply.
Interestingly, we didn’t find it excessively soft, rating it 5/10 on the firmness scale. It offers a lovely level of comfort while still maintaining some underlying support.
Plush version
Across the range, the UltraFlex spring system feels sturdy and responsive, providing good back support. It also responds well to normal sleep movements, and we rated its responsiveness within our optimal range.
Responsiveness
Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.
The finer details
What else should I know?
The Silentnight Hotel Luxe Mayfair Mattress is very nicely made, with excellent build quality and a high standard of finishing throughout.
The mattress has side handles to assist with rotating and transporting it. These handles are a little smaller than we would ideally like, but should still be serviceable for most people.
Edge support is good, helped by the Premium EdgeBoost boxed wall support. As expected, edge support is strongest on the Firm version.
Partner disturbance is minimal and shouldn’t be a significant issue for most couples. As always, partner disturbance will vary depending on the size of the occupants and the size of the mattress.
The Mayfair also incorporates Global GreenTag certified materials/technology. Global GreenTag is an independent certification system that assesses products across areas such as sustainability, environmental performance, health and safety.

Bed base compatibility
What type of bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend this mattress to be used with a bed base with solid slats (not flexible/posture slats), such as the Atlantis Bed Base.
We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation may void the mattress warranty.
This mattress can be used with an adjustable (electric) bed base. Here is our full list of mattresses that are compatible with an adjustable bed base.
It’s worth noting here that mattress firmness, performance, and durability will vary with different bed bases.
Warranty
The Silentnight Hotel Luxe Mayfair Mattress is covered by a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty.
The warranty covers manufacturing or material defects, subject to the warranty terms and conditions. It does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, improper maintenance, or damage caused by using the mattress contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions.
If you need to make a warranty claim, you should contact the Beds & Dreams store where the mattress was purchased and provide proof of purchase.

Final verdict
Is the Silentnight Hotel Luxe Mayfair Mattress right for you?
The Silentnight Hotel Luxe Mayfair Mattress is a very nicely made mattress that certainly lives up to its hotel-inspired name. It offers a lovely combination of comfort and support, with a sturdy spring system and excellent overall build quality.
The three firmness options should cater to a wide range of sleepers. Even though the Plush isn’t exceptionally soft, it still offers a very comfortable, luxurious feel. Considering the quality and overall presentation, we also think the Mayfair is very well priced.
Overall, this is an excellent mattress and a lovely option for those looking for that premium hotel-style comfort at home.
