Purchase and delivery
The Dusk&Dawn Signature can be conveniently ordered online through the Dusk&Dawn website. When you purchase your new Dusk&Dawn Signature, you have the choice of either a firm, medium, or plush (soft) version.
Delivery is free to metro areas, and Dusk&Dawn can deliver to most areas in Australia. Delivery is not available to the Northern Territory, Tasmania, and some regional areas.
As part of the delivery process, Dusk&Dawn offers a ‘white glove’ service. This involves a dedicated 2 person team that will carefully handle your mattress and place it directly into your bedroom.
Dusk&Dawn also offers an ‘old mattress removal’ service for a fee of $100 (metro locations only).

Our Dusk&Dawn Signature arrived in immaculate condition, thanks to two thick layers of plastic wrapping. Unlike many mattresses that are purchased online, the Dusk&Dawn Signature doesn’t come compressed in a box, so you won’t need to wait for it to decompress before sleeping on it.
Aesthetically, the Dusk&Dawn Signature has a definite presence and gives off strong vibes of quality and sophistication. It sits 38cm high and uses a black and white colour theme.
The brand and model name label at the base has shades of blue and purple. This label gives this mattress an extra touch of class.

The Dusk&Dawn Signature has a number of layers and components in its construction. These parts include a robust spring system and enhanced edge support.

The Dusk&Dawn Signature includes an encased and zoned Micro Pocket Coil System in its top comfort section. This layer has 5 designated comfort and support zones that help to provide maximum body contouring and support.

7. ISO Coil 5 Zone Pocket Spring System
The main support structure of the Dusk&Dawn Signature contains an independently encased Pocket Coil System with 5 targeted zones for better body support and contouring where you need it most.

Comfort and support
As mentioned earlier, the Dusk&Dawn Signature comes in 3 firmness options – firm, medium, or plush (soft).
The Comfort-Stretch Premium Fabric feels soft, smooth, and should allow plenty of ventilation.
The firm version is surprisingly comfortable, and absorbs body weight smoothly. As you would expect though, it is still firm and supportive.
This mattress should suit all sleeping positions (side sleepers, back sleepers, and stomach sleepers) but understandably, its suitability will vary between individuals.
All of our expert reviewers agreed that this firm version has a ‘medium-firm’ feel. By majority vote, we settled on a 7 / 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest).

We tested the Dusk&Dawn Signature on the Koala Balmain Bed Base which is a good quality bed base with flat panel slats.
The medium version of this mattress is exceptionally comfortable and body weight is absorbed smoothly and evenly.
The medium version should suit most side sleepers but it should also suit back sleepers and stomach sleepers. Again, this suitability will vary between individuals.

As you would expect, the plush version is noticeably soft and ‘cloud like’. It would be very suitable for those who like an unmistakable soft feel to their mattress.
This plush version would be most suited to side sleepers but it may also suit back sleepers and stomach sleepers. Again, this suitability will vary between individuals.

Plush version
The ISO Coil 5 Zone Pocket Spring System feels strong, sturdy, and well balanced. Changing sleep positions requires little effort, as this spring system responds magnificently to normal sleep movements.
In terms of spinal support, this mattress is outstanding. It should accommodate people of all sizes, and we didn’t detect any undesirable dipping or sinking.
The spring system in the Dusk&Dawn Signature responds well to normal sleep movements and we rated its level of responsiveness as optimal. In basic terms, this means that changing sleep positions (and intimate activities) shouldn’t be any trouble.
Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.
The finer details
The overall build quality of the Dusk&Dawn Signature Mattress is superb.
Its outer fabric shell feels durable and the ‘3D Mesh Breathable Gusset’ around the sides of the comfort layer (for extra ventilation) demonstrate Dusk&Dawn’s attention to detail.
Edge support is excellent thanks to its ‘Power Edge Support’ foam encasement. As with most mattress collections, edge support is best on the firm version.
All models in the Dusk&Dawn mattress range also have side handles, making it easy to rotate or transport the mattress. The handles themselves are strong, and are stitched into the mattress firmly.
At 38cm high, this mattress sits higher than many other mattresses. So, you may need to use deep fitting sheets such as the Koala Deep Fit Sheets.
Partner disturbance is present but certainly not significant. So, a restless partner shouldn’t cause too many problems.
With that said, motion transfer may vary. A larger mattress (e.g. king size) will usually involve lower amounts of motion transfer. Partner disturbance will also depend on the size of the occupants of the bed.
The overall build quality of the Dusk&Dawn Signature Mattress is superb.
In terms of health and hygiene, the Dusk&Dawn Signature Mattress is well certified. The comfort foams are certified by Global Green Tag, one of the world’s most trusted and widely recognised eco labels.

What bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend the Dusk&Dawn Signature to be used on a bed base with flat panel slats or solid slats such as the Dusk&Dawn Liquorice Bedhead & Base.
Dusk&Dawn Liquorice Bedhead & Base
We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation may void the mattress warranty.

It’s worth noting here that mattress firmness, performance, and durability will vary with different bed bases.

For this reason, all Dusk&Dawn mattresses come with a 100 night comfort guarantee. During this time you can test your new mattress out in the comfort of your own home. You must own the mattress for a minimum of 30 nights from the date received, this will give your body the adequate time to adjust.
If between, night 31-100 you still are not satisfied with your sleep, then let us know and we will arrange to collect your mattress and adjust the firmness before returning it right back to you FREE of charge.

1. You must go through 1 Comfort change first as per our Comfort Guarantee policy.
