The Silent Night Onyx can be conveniently ordered online, through the Beds n Dreams website. Delivery costs will depend on your location, but a typical delivery cost to a metropolitan area is $80.

The Silent Night Onyx presents beautifully with a sophisticated, modern style. It sits 39cm high and uses a white and grey colour theme. The special embroidery and brand label also give it a distinct touch of class.
Comfort and support
The top cover of this mattress contains an exclusive ‘ICE-TEK’ cooling knit. This feels cool to touch and is designed to help regulate sleep temperature. This top cover also contains a premium silk cashmere blend which has a strong, yet luxurious feel.
This top cover sits over an assortment of premium comfort foams. This includes a special ‘open cell layer’ to assist even further with ventilation and airflow.
This top comfort layer offers nice pressure relief, and feels soft and light. It should suit all sleeping positions (side sleepers, back sleepers, and stomach sleepers) but understandably, this suitability will vary between individuals.
The firm version maintains its shape very well, and as you would expect, has a definite firm feel. The top comfort layer still feels soft and light, and offers adequate pressure relief for the hips and shoulders. Our team rated it as a ‘firm’ feel and a 8 / 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest).

We rated the Silent Night Onyx Medium as a ‘medium-firm’ feel and a 7 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort. Furthermore, our firmness ratings are assigned based on Bedbuyer’s testing process and these may differ from firmness ratings given by individual companies.

The plush version offers plenty of comfort and pressure relief. The top comfort layer feels soft and light, and is comfortable in all sleeping positions. Our team rated it as a ‘medium’ feel and a 6 / 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest):
The spring system used in the Silent Night Onyx is outstanding and will accomodate people of all sizes. It uses a 10 Zone Silentpocket™ Dual Coil System that provides excellent support for the spine.
This spring unit contains a high spring count with approximately 1,740 springs (queen size). This support system also isolates movement well, so a restless partner shouldn’t be a major problem.
The Silent Night Onyx responds nicely to normal sleep movements and we rated its level of responsiveness as ‘optimal’. In basic terms, this means that changing sleep positions (and intimate activities) shouldn’t be any trouble.
Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.
The finer details
The Silent Night Onyx has a high level of quality and craftsmanship. Edge support is firm thanks to its Edge Boost™ Foam Boxed Wall – a highly resilient foam box encasement that provides the most robust of mattress perimeters.
The mattress also has strong side handles to make rotating (and transporting) the mattress easier.

The Silent Night Onyx is well-certified as non-toxic and eco-friendly, holding the GECA (Good Environmental Choice Australia) certification. It also comes with a solid 10 year warranty.
The Silent Night Onyx comes with a 100 Night Eco Exchange (and return/refund option). This means that you can exchange your mattress for another Silent Night Onyx of a different firmness, if you are not satisfied.

What bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend this mattress to be used with a bed base with solid slats (not flexible/posture slats), such as the Atlantis Bed Base.
Use of an unsupportive mattress foundation will usually void the mattress warranty.
Furthermore, we do not recommend this mattress to be used with an adjustable (electric) bed base as this may void the warranty. Here is our full list of mattresses that are compatible with an adjustable bed base.
It’s worth noting here that mattress firmness, performance, and durability will vary with different bed bases.

The Silent Night Onyx is available in all 7 mattress sizes (super king, king, queen, double, king single, long single, and single) so it will accomodate all adult sleeping situations.

100 Night Eco Exchange and Trial Period
If you are not satisfied with your Silent Night Onyx, you can exchange your mattress for a different firmness within the 100 night period (Eco Exchange).
Once the Eco Exchange has been activated, the customer can also return the mattress for a refund (if still not satisfied).
Details of the Eco Exchange:
(i) The 100 Night Eco Exchange is an exclusive offer for Bedbuyer online metro customers only (and is not offered to any in-store customers).
(ii) The 100 Night Eco Exchange is only applicable to the Silent Night Onyx, Neoluxe Vantage Silver, and Hypnos Balmoral.
(iii) Eco exchanges can only be activated within the same product range. For example, you cannot exchange a Silent Night Onyx for a Neoluxe Vantage Silver.
(iv) A customer must sleep on the mattress for a minimum of 30 nights from the time of pick up or delivery (to allow for the body to adjust to the new mattress).
(v) A mattress that is damaged or soiled in any way will be exempt from the 100 Night Eco Exchange. Normal wear and tear is accepted.
(vi) The Eco Exchange applies to mattresses of the same size.
(vii) The Eco Exchange is valid for one mattress per household/address.
(viii) If a customer activates an Eco Exchange and is still not satisfied, they can request a full refund within the 100 night trial period (no questions asked). The refund will be reduced by a $150 transport fee.
