The Eva Timber Bed Frame is an award-winning bed base that is incredibly easy to assemble. It is made from premium quality timber and has a distinct, modern design.

Purchase and delivery

The Eva Timber Bed Frame can be ordered online (through the Eva website) and it will arrive at your door in a number of boxes. Eva offers free and fast delivery, Australia-wide, except to the Northern Territory (see delivery times in our ‘Delivery’ section further down).

This bed base comes in 4 boxes that includes several long shaped boxes and a flat box. These boxes arrived in excellent condition and were easy to open. It’s worth noting that these boxes are heavy, so we would recommend having two people available to help with any lifting and carrying.

Assembling

The Eva Timber Bed Frame is brilliantly designed in terms of assembly. It doesn’t require any tools (Allen keys, screwdrivers, spanners) and the instructions are easy to follow. It should only take around 5 minutes to assemble and we would recommend having two people to assist.

Once assembled, the Eva Timber Bed Frame oozes plenty of style. It should blend into most bedroom decor, and has a distinct modern vibe.

Stability and practicality

The Eva Timber Bed Frame has a nice, even surface that should suit almost any mattress. The bed base feels stable and can accommodate up to 450 kgs. The headboard may move slightly with larger occupants so make sure that this is screwed in tightly.

Overall build quality is very good and the fixed slat design should allow for good ventilation. It’s also worth noting that there is a generous 20 cm (in height) of storage space underneath.

As with other similarly designed bed bases though, care must be taken to not ‘bang your shins’ when getting into bed. Nevertheless, the extended edges allow for handy placement of electronic devices (e.g. smart phones, tablets) and bedroom items (e.g. books, glasses).

The finer details

The Eva Timber Bed Frame is well backed with a 100 day trial period – just make sure you that you keep the original packaging to avoid return shipping costs.

This bed frame is finished with an eco-friendly (and non-toxic) Osmo Oil which helps to protect the timber from staining.

The Eva Timber Bed Frame is available in 5 sizes (king, queen, double, king single and single) so it should accommodate most adult sleeping arrangements. Here are Australia’s standard bed (mattress) sizes in 2024.

Overall, the Eva Timber Bed Frame is an excellent bed base that is easy to assemble. It is strong, sturdy, and uses quality timber.

COLOUR

As our Eva Timber Bed Frame is made from Timber each Bed Frame has its own unique wood grain. This may cause slight differences in colour and pattern. The American Oak exterior gives your Bed Frame a high-quality finish that suits any aesthetic.

CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS

American Oak & Birchwood

Your Eva Timber Bed Frame is finished with eco-friendly Osmo Oil to ensure the timber is protected from the inside out. Osmo Oil is made from a selection of food-grade natural oils & carnauba wax and is completely non-toxic as well as stain-resistant. We only use the highest quality, safe and low emitting materials in all Eva furniture.

The Eva Timber Bed Frame is made from FSC certified materials to ensure the protection of our beautiful forests! The timber used in our bed frame is a combination of sturdy Birch plywood and American Oak Veneer. The Birch plywood is grown in Russia and the American Oak in North America.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

We recommend keeping your Eva Timber Bed Frame away from direct sunlight & liquids. If you do happen to spill any liquid on your bed base, just wipe it up right away! You can clean your Bed Base with a clean, damp cloth to remove any dust. Please note: your bed base is made from natural materials and does not like harsh cleaning products.
