The Emma Cooling Flip Topper forms part of the Emma bedding range that that also includes the Emma Flip Topper and the popular Emma Comfort Mattress.
Purchase and delivery
The Emma Cooling Flip Topper can be purchased through the Emma website. Delivery is free (Australia wide), and delivery times are generally fast. Be sure to select ‘Emma Cooling Flip Topper’ on the shop page.

Our product arrived in good condition, rolled up tightly in plastic packaging, within a cardboard box. Once we removed the packaging, we gave the topper 24 hours to decompress before testing. With that said, it should be ready to use within a few hours of unpacking.
The Emma Cooling Flip Topper has a simple and rather unremarkable appearance. It sits 5cm high which is a typical height of most mattress toppers.
Construction and materials
Like many mattress toppers, the Emma Cooling Flip Topper contains a cover and foam components.
1. Washable cover
The top cover has a soft, smooth feel that should make it comfortable to sleep on. It is also completely removable, making it easy to wash.
2. Extra breathable foam
This foam layer uses groundbreaking Point Elastic Airgocell® technology that enhances breathability. This layer also absorbs sweat so that rising temperatures won’t disturb your sleep.
3. Base foam
This foam layer is called HRX foam(High Resiliency Extra). This layer helps to provide smooth pressure relief, whilst keeping your spine aligned correctly.
Comfort and support
Each side of the Emma Cooling Flip Topper has a slightly different feel. As the name suggests, you can flip the topper over to select your preferred firmness.
The breathable foam layer has a soft, comfortable feel and this side would be ideal for those people wanting an extra layer of comfort to an existing mattress.
The base foam layer has a more dense, supportive feel and is more suitable for those looking for more support on an existing mattress.
Due to its 5cm thickness, it could also be used on the floor for kids sleepovers or for other temporary sleep arrangements.
The finer details
As mentioned above, the Emma Cooling Flip Topper has removable and washable cover. The cover is easy to remove thanks to a large zip pull and smooth zipper.
Unfortunately this topper does not contain any corner straps. Corner straps are important in terms of keeping a mattress topper in place.
This product comes with a 100 night trial period and a 10 year warranty to cover any defects or poor workmanship.
The Emma Cooling Flip Topper holds the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification. This reflects that this product is free of harmful substances and is safe for babies and toddlers.
