Purchase and delivery
The Emma Classic Bed can be ordered online (through the Emma website) and it will arrive at your door in 2 separate boxes (queen size).
Delivery of the Emma Classic Bed is free and it can be delivered to anywhere in Australia. A normal delivery time is anywhere from 0-7 days. For more details about delivery, see our Delivery information section further down.
The Emma Classic Bed comes with plenty of good quality packaging to ensure that the components are well protected during transport. The product components were all in excellent condition when we removed the packaging.
Assembling
The bed comes with an instruction booklet to assist with the assembling process.
This bed base contains a number of different parts, pieces, and attachments. We would strongly recommend laying all the pieces out onto the floor before you start assembling.
You won’t need any additional tools (Allen key and screws are all included). It will take around 20 minutes for 2 people to assemble this bed.
Once assembled, the Emma Classic Bed presents with a classic, stylish design. It should match most bedroom decor themes.
Stability and practicality
The Emma Classic Bed uses a number of posture/flexible slats that attach to the side bean and the central beam. Although we recommend solid slats over posture slats, this bed should be serviceable for many mattresses.
To this point, the bed provides adequate support and stability, but we have tested bed bases that are more stable.
The overall quality of the wood, fabrics, and attachments is sound, and the components were not overly difficult to put together.
It’s also worth noting that there is about 18cm of storage space underneath.
The bed base does exceed the dimensions of the mattress slightly, but this extra length and width is minimal. So, it’s unlikely that you will be knocking or banging your shins on the sides.

After your new Emma Mattress is vacuum-packed and rolled into a compact box, it is ready to be shipped to you.
How much are shipping costs?
Shipping and return costs are free.
Please note however, if your collection address lies outside our normal delivery area then we might ask for your help to deliver your mattress to the nearest drop off location after all other options have been exhausted.
How does the delivery process work?
Orders placed before 10 am on weekdays are eligible for same-day delivery (between 2-6 pm) in the metro areas of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Otherwise you will receive your mattress within 1-3 business days depending on your proximity to our warehouses..
For metro orders, a tracking link is sent to you via SMS on the day of your delivery so that you can live track the progress of the driver.
For regional deliveries, an email will be sent that will allow you to track the progress of your delivery throughout each step.
How long does the delivery take?
Normally, delivery of your mattress should be completed 0-7 business days after you placed your order.
