Zzz Assured Firm Mattress Review
The Zzz Assured Firm is a good quality mattress in box but would likely be a bit too hard and firm for many of us.
The top layer has a nice, ‘expensive’ feel to it with a nice pattern and stitching. It immediately feels firm and quite hard, and side lying may be an issue with pressure on the shoulders and hips. If you like it very firm and you are predominantly a back sleeper, this would suit as the mattress does have very spinal support in this position.
Build quality for a mattress in a box is good. The materials used appear to be good quality and durable, particularly the top layer of fabric. The pocket spring system feels solid and robust. Edge support is good, but as there is not a thick comfort layer, you can feel the springs a little with a violent jump or when you press hard on the top with your hand. Partner disturbance was present but insignificant.
Zzz Atelier offers a 60 day free trial period which means you can get a full refund or exchange within this period if you are not satisfied. $709 is well below the market average of $992 for a mattress in a box, so it does represent good value for money, but we would recommend this only to those who like very firm mattress.

Delivery Times
Our shipping rate is extremely competitive. We do not seek to profit from product shipment and we pass on all savings we can to our customers. In fact, we offer free delivery from time to time, or when your total purchase is more than a certain amount. We recommend that you check out the delivery cost at your shopping cart before deciding to pick up your purchase. If you still prefer to pick up your goods regardless, you can do so by appointment at our warehouse as below.

- To collect the item yourself, you will need to supply a full proof of photo ID at the collection point. A driver’s license, proof-of-age card, or a passport would be acceptable form of proof.
- For another person to collect on your behalf, you will need to scan and email your full photo ID to customerservice@zzzatelier.com.au. You will also need to detail the identification of the individual collecting the item.
- We reserve the right to refuse the collection of items by any person unable to provide sufficient proof.
Mattress & large item shipment
- Once we have successfully received your order payment, we dispatch the items from our warehouse on the next working day.
- We ship large items via courier companies and arranged delivery is required. You receive a shipment email with tracking number and courier company details.
- You call the courier company quoting your tracking number to arrange a suitable delivery day. This is an important step to ensure that you will be available to sign for the delivery. Please note a re-delivery charge of $39 may apply for cancelled or missed delivery.
- The item arrives at your doorstep. For larger and heavier items, you may need to assist the delivery driver to unload.
Depending on your delivery address, your newly purchased item can take any time between 2 days to 3 weeks to arrive at your doorstep. The approximate transit time would be:
Melbourne orders – 2 to 5 working days.
Sydney & Canberra orders – 2 to 7 working days.
Adelaide orders – 3 to 7 working days.
Brisbane orders – 4 to 9 working days.
All other major cities – 4 to 10 working days.
If you are in a rural/regional area, delivery times are generally around 7-15 working days, and at times can be longer.
