For customers in Melbourne Metro, Yinahla also offers an $89 Premium Delivery option. This service includes carrying the mattress into your home and positioning it on your chosen base, although it doesn’t include the removal of any existing mattress.

Aesthetics and presentation
What does it look like in real life?
The Yinahla Visco Flex Mattress has a striking, high-end presence in the bedroom, thanks to its generous 34 cm height and clean, contemporary styling.
The white, tufted top surface looks plush and inviting, and it contrasts nicely with the beige side panels to create a soft, neutral aesthetic. The patterning and stitching are neat and consistent, giving the mattress a handcrafted feel, and it sits proudly on the bed base without appearing bulky or overbearing.

From the side, the mattress displays a textured quilt design and subtle gold accents that add to its premium look. The embroidered Yinahla branding is tasteful, and the Australian Made logo reinforces its local manufacturing credentials.
In the room setting, the mattress blends effortlessly with modern décor – light walls, natural timber, and soft furnishings – making it an attractive centrepiece that enhances the overall presentation of the space.
Mattress construction
What’s inside the Yinahla Visco Flex Mattress?
The Yinahla Visco Flex Mattress is built around a sophisticated multi-layer system that balances firmness, breathability, and long-term support.
1. Elastin Knit Fabric Cover
The upper surface uses Yinahla’s signature elastin knit fabric, a stretchy and breathable material that adapts smoothly to body movement. It creates a soft, premium feel on top while helping air circulate through the mattress for improved temperature control.

2. 50mm Visco Flex Memory Foam
This layer is the key comfort component of the design. The Visco Flex memory foam cushions the body, easing pressure around joints and muscles, and providing a balance of contouring comfort and supportive response.
3. Three Layers of Dunlop Ultra-Fresh® Foam
These Australian-made foams add a plush, cloud-like comfort while offering exceptional durability. The Ultra-Fresh® treatment helps resist bacteria and odours, making the mattress both comfortable and hygienic.
4. Quiltec Joyce Healthguard-Treated Foam
Positioned just beneath the top fabric, this layer adds a soft, breathable buffer while helping protect against mould, mildew and common allergens. It enhances surface comfort and contributes to a healthier sleep environment.
5. 9 Zone Ultra-Coil Pocket Spring System
The mattress uses Yinahla’s advanced zoned spring system, engineered to deliver targeted support to each region of the body. The addition of titanium adds extra strength and responsiveness, giving the mattress a uniquely stable and supportive feel.
6. Rigid Edge Support
A firm, high-density foam encasement surrounds the spring unit, strengthening the perimeter and ensuring consistent support across the entire surface. This reduces the sensation of roll-off, improves partner isolation, and maximises the mattress’s usable sleeping area.
Comfort and support
What’s it like to sleep on the Yinahla Visco Flex Mattress?
The elastin knit cover has a soft, flexible feel that stretches comfortably with body movement. It also has a breathable quality, which should assist with airflow and maintaining a more stable sleep temperature.
The comfort layers will appeal to those who enjoy the classic character of memory foam. They have a distinctly spongy, slow-response feel and contour closely to the body’s shape.
In terms of sleeping position, this mattress should suit many back sleepers, and it may also work well for certain side or stomach sleepers. As always, individual comfort preferences and body shape will influence this.
In terms of firmness, all of our reviewers agreed that this mattress has a medium-firm feel. Our team agreed on a firmness rating of 6.5 / 10.
Firmness Rating

Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort. Mattresses with the same firmness rating can also feel quite different.
Furthermore, our firmness ratings are assigned based on Bedbuyer’s testing process and these may differ from firmness ratings given by individual companies. Mattress firmness will also vary depending on the type of bed base used.
We tested the Yinahla Visco Flex Mattress on the Chiropedic Bed Base which is a good quality bed base with rigid slats.
The 9 Zone Ultra-Coil Pocket Spring System in the Yinahla Visco Flex Mattress is genuinely impressive, offering robust support for sleepers across a wide range of body types. It keeps the spine well aligned, and during testing we didn’t notice any unwanted sinking or unevenness through the mid-section.
Because the comfort layer contains several tiers of memory foam, the Visco Flex doesn’t respond to movement as quickly as some of the other mattresses in the Yinahla lineup. As a result, shifting positions – or engaging in more active movements – may feel a little easier on models with faster-responding comfort foams.
Responsiveness

Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.
The finer details
What else should I know?
The overall construction quality of the Yinahla Visco Flex is excellent, showcasing the same handcrafted Australian workmanship seen across the Yinahla range. The stitching, quilting, and panel alignment are all completed with precision, giving the mattress a sturdy, premium finish that feels built to last.
A high-density Comfort Edge foam encasement runs around the perimeter of the mattress, offering strong edge support and preventing that familiar ‘roll off’ sensation. This firm border also reinforces the spring system and helps reduce partner disturbance, particularly when compared with mattresses that lack edge reinforcement.

Motion transfer will still vary from household to household, as factors like mattress size and the body weight of each sleeper can influence how much movement is felt. In general, larger sizes such as king mattresses tend to disperse motion more effectively across their broader surface area.
Practical design touches further enhance the mattress’s usability. Heavy-duty side handles are positioned vertically on each side, allowing the mattress to be rotated or manoeuvred with much less effort – a valuable feature given its solid 34 cm height. Despite this substantial profile, most standard fitted sheets should accommodate it comfortably.
Yinahla’s foams carry GECA (Good Environmental Choice Australia) certification and Sensitive Choice approval, indicating they are low in chemical emissions, safe for allergy-prone sleepers, and produced with environmentally responsible standards.
The Yinahla Visco Flex demonstrates meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful engineering.
The Visco Flex is also endorsed by the Australian Spinal Research Foundation, highlighting its suitability for maintaining healthy spinal alignment and its appeal to those prioritising back care.
Overall, the Yinahla Visco Flex demonstrates meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful engineering, making it one of the most impressive and dependable Australian-made mattresses on the market.

Bed base compatibility
What type of bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend the Yinahla Visco Flex Mattress to be used on a bed base with flat panel slats such as the Koala Paddington Bed Base.
A bed base with solid slats such as the Porto Bed Base, would also be very suitable.
We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation will void the mattress warranty.
We don’t recommend the Yinahla Visco Flex Mattress be used with an adjustable (electric) bed base as this may cause damage to the mattress components. Here is our full list of mattresses that are compatible with an adjustable bed base.
It’s worth noting here that mattress firmness, performance, and durability will vary with different bed bases.
Trial period and warranty
What trial period and warranty does it come with?
The Yinahla Visco Flex Mattress comes with a generous 150 night trial, allowing plenty of time to decide whether it’s the right choice.
If it’s not a good match, customers can exchange it for another model or return it for a full refund, provided the mattress is still in excellent condition with no marks, stains or damage.
Returned mattresses must be placed back into the original plastic bag, and Yinahla arranges free return shipping for metro areas. All returned products are donated to the Salvation Army, which both supports the community and helps reduce landfill.
The mattress is protected by a 20 year warranty that covers manufacturing faults and material defects – one of the longest warranties available in Australia. Together, the trial and warranty underscore Yinahla’s confidence in the product and reinforce its premium positioning.
Available sizes
What size options are available?
The Yinahla Visco Flex Mattress is available in all 7 sizes (super king, king, queen, double, king single, long single and single) so it should suit all sleeping arrangements.
Its super king size option is noteworthy, as only a handful of online mattresses are available in this size.

The meaning of Yinahla
The word “Yinahla” translates to “lie down, rest time” in the Yugambeh language, traditionally spoken by the Yugambeh people of South East Queensland.
The name honours Australia’s First Nations people and reflects values of rest, respect, and cultural connection. Chiropedic Bedding, the Australian company behind the Yinahla range, received formal approval from Yugambeh Community Elders – via the Yugambeh Youth Aboriginal Corporation – to use the term “Yinahla”, marking a meaningful acknowledgement of cultural respect and authenticity.
