Purchase and delivery

How do I buy a Yinahla Classic Comfort Mattress?

The Yinahla Classic Comfort Mattress can be purchased online through the official Yinahla website. Ordering is straightforward, and delivery is free to most metro and inner regional areas across Australia.

Each mattress is made to order in Melbourne, so production begins after your purchase. Manufacturing takes around three business days, with dispatch and delivery times varying by location:

Delivery timeframes (average):

  • Melbourne Metro – 3 business days
  • Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide & Canberra Metro – within 14 business days
  • All other areas – within 21 business days

Deliveries are carried out by trusted freight partners, and Yinahla provides tracking updates once your order has shipped. The mattress arrives well-protected in heavy-duty plastic wrapping (not compressed in a box), meaning it’s ready to sleep on as soon as it arrives – no decompression required.

You can see this mattress in ‘real life’ (along with the rest of the Yinahla range) in our video review here:

For customers in Melbourne Metro, a Premium Delivery Service is available for an additional $89. This white-glove option includes delivery inside your home and setup in your chosen room. However, it does not include the removal of old bedding.

Overall, delivery is efficient and well-organised, reflecting the brand’s high level of customer care and attention to detail.

Aesthetics and Presentation

What does it look like in real life?

The Yinahla Classic Comfort Mattress presents with a timeless and elegant design that reflects its premium Australian craftsmanship.

Standing 33cm high, it has a substantial, luxurious profile that looks right at home in both classic and contemporary bedrooms.

Yinahla Classic Comfort

The soft white and beige colour palette gives it a clean, inviting appearance, while the quilted side panels and Australian Made label add a touch of authenticity and charm. The subtle Yinahla embroidery at the base reinforces its identity as a premium, handcrafted product.

Attention to detail is exceptional – from the precision stitching to the reinforced side handles, every element feels purposeful and refined. Overall, the presentation is understated yet confident, echoing the comfort and quality that lie beneath its surface.

Mattress construction

What’s inside the Yinahla Classic Comfort?

The Yinahla Classic Comfort is an advanced innerspring mattress that combines multiple layers of premium Australian foams with a highly sophisticated spring system.

1. Elastin Knit Fabric Cover

The top surface is made from Yinahla’s signature extra-stretch knit fabric, a luxuriously soft and breathable material designed to flex and move with the body. It feels smooth to touch and adds a refined finish to the mattress.

2. GECA-Approved Quiltec & Hypersoft Dunlop Foams

Beneath the cover are four interlocking comfort layers of Quiltec and Hypersoft Dunlop foam. These foams are known for their plush yet supportive feel, and they work together to distribute body weight evenly while maintaining excellent airflow.

3. Cloud Gel™ Layer

Enmeshed within the foam layers is Yinahla’s proprietary Cloud Gel™ sheet — a cooling material that is 76% more breathable than standard foam. It helps regulate temperature and provides a pleasantly cool surface, even during warmer nights.

4. 9 Zone Ultra-Coil Pocket Spring System

The support core features Yinahla’s 9 Zone Ultra-Coil system, containing over five times more springs than the average innerspring mattress. Each zone provides tailored support to the head, shoulders, back, hips, and legs. The addition of titanium enhances strength and durability, ensuring long-term stability and comfort.

5. Rigid Edge Support

The mattress perimeter is reinforced with a full foam box edge, preventing sagging and extending usable surface area. It also helps minimise partner disturbance and makes the mattress feel stable right to the edge.

This combination of breathable foams, cooling gel, and a robust spring system makes the Yinahla Classic Comfort one of the most technically advanced and supportive mattresses available in Australia today.

Comfort and support

What’s it like to sleep on the Yinahla Classic Comfort Mattress?

The elastin cover feels soft and has a lovely, stretchy feel to it. It also feels breathable so it may help to regulate sleep temperature.

The top comfort layer provides soft and light pressure relief, and is lovely to sleep on. It absorbs bodyweight smoothly, and offers ample pressure relief around the hips and shoulders.

This mattress should suit all sleeping positions (side sleepers, back sleepers, and stomach sleepers) but understandably, this suitability will vary between individuals.

In terms of firmness, all of our reviewers agreed that this mattress has a medium-firm feel. By majority vote, we settled on a 6 / 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest).

Firmness Rating

Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.

Furthermore, our firmness ratings are assigned based on Bedbuyer’s testing process and these may differ from firmness ratings given by individual companies. Mattress firmness will also vary depending on the type of bed base used.

We tested the Eva Mattress on the Chiropedic Bed Base which is a good quality bed base with rigid slats.

The 9 Zone Ultra-Coil Pocket Spring System used in the Yinahla Classic Comfort is market-leading and will accommodate people of all sizes. It provides outstanding spinal support and we certainly didn’t detect any undesirable sinking or dipping.

The Yinahla Classic Comfort responds nicely to normal sleep movements and we rated its level of responsiveness as optimal. In basic terms, this means that changing sleep positions (and intimate activities) shouldn’t be any trouble.

Responsiveness

Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.

The finer details

What else should I know?

The overall build quality of the Yinahla Classic Comfort is first-class. Every stitch and seam reflects its handcrafted Australian construction, and the finishings feel robust and long-lasting.

The Comfort Edge foam box provides excellent edge support, ensuring sleepers can use the full mattress surface without that ‘rolling off’ sensation. This rigid perimeter also improves structural integrity and helps minimise partner disturbance – an area where the Classic Comfort performs particularly well.

With that said, motion transfer may vary. A larger mattress (e.g. king size) will usually involve lower amounts of motion transfer. Partner disturbance will also depend on the size of the occupants of the bed.

The overall build quality of the Yinahla Classic Comfort is first-class.

Strong side handles are fitted vertically on each side, making rotation and repositioning far easier despite the mattress’s solid build. At 33cm high, it has a substantial profile that gives it a luxurious presence, but standard sheets should still fit comfortably.

Yinahla’s foams are GECA-certified (Good Environmental Choice Australia) and Sensitive Choice approved, meaning they’re low in chemical emissions, safe for sensitive sleepers, and environmentally responsible.

The Classic Comfort is also endorsed by the Australian Spinal Research Foundation, which reinforces its back-care credentials and suitability for those seeking healthy spinal alignment.

Altogether, the Yinahla Classic Comfort demonstrates outstanding attention to detail – from its certifications to its craftsmanship – making it one of the most refined and reliable Australian-made mattresses available.

Bed base compatibility

What type of bed base should I use?

As with most mattresses, we recommend the Yinahla Classic Comfort to be used on a bed base with flat panel slats such as the Koala Paddington Bed Base.

A bed base with solid slats such as the Chiropedic Bed Base, would also be very suitable.

Sleep RepublicChiropedic Bed Base

We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation will void the mattress warranty.

We don’t recommend the Yinahla Classic Comfort be used with an adjustable (electric) bed base. as this may cause damage to the mattress components. Here is our full list of mattresses that are compatible with an adjustable bed base.

It’s worth noting here that mattress firmness, performance, and durability will vary with different bed bases.

Trial period and warranty

What trial period and warranty does it come with?

The Yinahla Classic Comfort includes a 150 night trial period, giving customers plenty of time to adjust and ensure it’s the right fit.

If you’re not satisfied within that time, Yinahla offers the option to exchange for another model or return the mattress for a full refund. Conditions apply of course, for example the mattress must be in an as-new condition with no damage, stains, marks or rips.

All returned mattresses must also be enclosed in the original plastic bag provided at the time of sale.

Returned mattresses are donated to charity through the Salvation Army, which is a nice touch that supports the community and reduces landfill waste. Free return shipping applies for metro areas, and customers outside those zones can coordinate collection through Yinahla’s support team.

The mattress is also backed by an exceptional 20 year warranty, one of the longest in Australia. This warranty covers manufacturing faults and defects in materials, offering long-term peace of mind and reinforcing Yinahla’s commitment to quality.

Combined, the trial and warranty terms reflect a confident, customer-first approach that matches the brand’s premium reputation.

Available sizes

What size options are available?

The Yinahla Classic Comfort is available in all 7 sizes (super king, king, queen, double, king single, long single and single) so it should suit all sleeping arrangements.

Its super king size option is noteworthy, as only a handful of online mattresses are available in this size.

Did you know?

The meaning of Yinahla

The word “Yinahla” means “lie down, rest time” in the Yugambeh language, spoken by the Yugambeh people of South East Queensland.

The name was chosen in appreciation of Australia’s First Nations people, reflecting the brand’s commitment to respect, rest, and connection.

Chiropedic Bedding, the Australian manufacturer behind the Yinahla range, was granted official endorsement to use the word Yinahla by Yugambeh Community Elders through the Yugambeh Youth Aboriginal Corporation – a meaningful recognition of cultural respect and authenticity.
