The Wowbed Supreme Mattress is one of the mid-range models in the Wowbeds mattress range, that includes the entry level Wowbed Dreamer.
Purchase and delivery
The Wowbed Supreme Mattress can be conveniently ordered online through the Wowbeds website. Delivery is free and the mattress can be delivered Australia wide.
The mattress was easy to remove from its packaging, but you may need two people to assist with the unboxing. We allowed 24 hours for it to decompress, but it seemed ready to sleep on after a few hours.
From a visual perspective, the Wowbed Supreme Mattress combines a classic style with a cool, modern vibe. The mattress uses a grey, pink, and white colour theme, and its brand name embroidery gives it a nice touch.
Comfort and support
The Wowbed Supreme Mattress has a nice comfort section that uses a number of foam layers. Its top cover is made up of a bamboo fabric that feels soft and smooth. This sits over multiple layers of comfort foams that includes a layer of memory foam and latex.
This top comfort layer absorbs body weight smoothly in all sleeping positions. There is a slight hardness to it, so we didn’t detect any sinking or dipping. Our team rated it as a ‘medium / firm’ feel and a 7 / 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest). Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
Sitting below this comfort layer, is a 5 zone pocket spring system. This offers good spinal support in all sleeping positions and feels reasonably stable. It responds nicely to sleep movements and is easy to move around in. Motion transfer is minimal, so a restless partner shouldn’t be a problem.
The finer details
Considering its price, overall build quality of the Wowbed Supreme Mattress is very respectable. It feels well balanced and should suit people of all sizes. Edge support is very good, thanks to its ‘integrity box edge’, and the ‘Ventex Mesh’ on the sides of the mattress helps to enhance ventilation and airflow.
The Wowbed Supreme Mattress offers an impressive 120 night trial period and a 10 year warranty. Unlike some other bed in a box products, we didn’t notice any strong odours while unboxing this mattress.
