SleepTailor Classic Review
The SleepTailor Classic is Australian made and forms the entry level model in the SleepTailor mattress range. It comes in a firm, medium, or plush version and has a 10 year warranty.
Purchase and delivery
This mattress can be ordered online, and delivery is available Australia-wide (see full delivery information in our ‘Delivery’ section below). It can also be purchased through any of Snooze’s stores across Australia.
From a visual perspective, the SleepTailor Classic has a classic yet modern look. It uses a white and brown colour theme and has brand name embroidery at its base.
Comfort and support
All versions use a comfort layer that is made from Dutch stretch knit fabric, along with a wool blend fibre cushioning, and premium foams. All versions offer a good level of comfort and absorb body weight smoothly.
We rated the SleepTailor Classic Firm as a ‘medium-firm’ feel and a 7.5 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.

We rated the SleepTailor Classic Medium as a ‘medium’ feel and a 6.5 / 10 on the firmness scale.
Medium version
The spring system used in the SleepTailor Classic is a ‘TwinTech® pocketed coils’ support system. This feels steady and reliable, and offers good support in all positions. It should accommodate people of all sizes.
It’s worth noting that this mattress can be specially ordered with different firmness levels on each side (e.g. firm on one side, plush on the other).
The finer details
In terms of quality and craftsmanship, the SleepTailor Classic is sound. It has strong side handles, and its quality and finishings are superb.
Edge support is firm and partner disturbance is minimal. This will vary of course depending on the size of the occupants of the bed.

The SleepTailor Classic is available in all 7 sizes (super king, king, queen, double, king single, long single, and single) so it should suit most sleeping arrangements. Here are Australia’s standard bed (mattress) sizes in 2021.
Final verdict
The SleepTailor Classic is a good ‘all round’ mattress that offers a nice balance of comfort and support. It can be ordered with different firmness levels on each side, and has a 10 year warranty.

Do you deliver to my area?
We endeavour to deliver your SleepTailor Classic to every address in Australia, however some addresses that are remote or difficult to access (some islands for instance) need to be quoted on a Price on Application basis.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
The majority of our products are made to order, so delivery times vary from product to product. For example most mattresses take between 7-14 days, while some custom-made furniture can take up to 8 weeks. Estimated lead-times are displayed on product pages.
How much does delivery cost?
If one or more items in your order are bulky (such as beds, mattresses, bedside tables and other bedroom furniture), then your whole order will be delivered by truck. The cost of delivery is then determined by the distance between delivery location and store of purchase:
Local Delivery distance of less than 25km – $80
Delivery distance between 25km and less than 60km – $100
Delivery distance between 60km and less than 100km – $125
Delivery distance greater than 100km – The store will contact you for special pricing.
Next Day and Express Delivery (where available) – $90
