The Sealy Perfect Balance Elation Deluxe has a medium feel and offers a reasonable balance of comfort and support. It comes with a 10 year warranty but isn’t the most refined product that we have tested.
Purchase and delivery
This mattress can be ordered online, and delivery is available Australia-wide (see delivery times in our ‘Delivery’ section further down). It can also be purchased through any of Amart Furniture’s 69 stores across Australia.
Visually, the Sealy Perfect Balance Elation Deluxe is rather basic and won’t win any awards for external design. It uses a grey and white colour combination (as with many other Sealy mattresses), along with a brand label.
Comfort and support
The top cover of this mattress consists of a ‘Premium Comfort Pillowtop’ with ‘Conforming Quilt Layers’. It is worth mentioning here that these top layers have been treated with Healthshield to help maintain a clean and hygienic sleep surface.
Comfort and pressure relief is reasonable, but you will notice a rather unrefined feel. We rated the Sealy Perfect Balance Elation Deluxe as a ‘medium’ feel and a 6 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
The spring system used in the Sealy Perfect Balance Elation Deluxe is a ‘PosturetechII Alternating Support System‘. This system feels noticeably flimsy and unstable. As a result, general balance and spinal support is compromised, and motion transfer is noticeable.
The finer details
In terms of build quality and craftsmanship, this mattress is not overly advanced. It lacks any side handles, and its general quality and finishings appear to be a little substandard. Edge support is decent thanks to its ‘Full Perimeter Sleep Surface and Firn Seating Edge with Unikey Edge Support’.
As we alluded to earlier, partner disturbance will likely be a problem, but this will understandably depend on the size of the occupants of the bed.
