The Posturepedic Elevate Ultra Presidential Medium has a characteristic Sealy feel to it, with some notable partner disturbance. With that said, it has a nice mix of comfort and support.

Visually, the Posturepedic Elevate Ultra Presidential Medium presents well with a clean, simple look. It uses a grey and white colour combination (as with many other Sealy mattresses), along with a nice brand label.

Comfort and support

The top cover of this mattress consists of a ‘Supersoft Quilt Layer’ and a ‘Sealy Quilt Layer’. This cover sits over a layer of gel infused foam which feels somewhat dense, but offers good pressure relief.

We rated the Posturepedic Elevate Ultra Presidential Medium as a ‘medium-firm’ feel and a 7 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.

The spring system used in the Posturepedic Elevate Ultra Presidential Medium is a ‘Sealy Align Support Spring’ system. This system feels quite unstable, characteristic of many Sealy mattresses. As you would expect, general balance is compromised, and motion transfer is noticeable. 

The finer details

In terms of build quality and craftsmanship, this mattress is not overly impressive, especially when you consider its price tag. It does have side handles though, and edge support is decent thanks to its ‘Unicased® Edge Support. Its general quality and finishings appear to be a little substandard considering its price.

As we alluded to earlier, partner disturbance will be an issue, but this will understandably depend on the size of the occupants of the bed.
