The Luxi mattress is essentially a collection of specially designed foam pieces that fit inside a strongly built but flexible cover. There are 4 foam slabs inside the cover which allow you to choose between 3 different sleeping surfaces – soft, medium, and firm. The neat part about the Luxi mattress is that you can select different sleeping surfaces for each side, which means if you like firm and your partner likes soft, you can set it up accordingly. It really is quite unique and takes the title as the only adjustable mattress in a box. As we mentioned one of the huge advantages to this mattress is the practicality. It would be easily transportable in a car as you can basically dismantle it into its separate pieces. Most other mattresses require a truck or trailer to transport.
In terms of how it performs as a sleeping surface, it really does support the body well. The soft and medium variations are comfortable but supportive at the same time, even better than many of the more expensive spring based mattresses. The firm is only slightly firmer than the medium but would be firm enough for most if firm is your preference. The Luxi mattress is comfortable – in all versions. Whilst it can’t boast the build quality of many of its competitors, partner disturbance is minimal, and for $1399 it is a very well-priced product. The Luxi Mattress will sit on virtually any surface – floor, slat base, or ensemble base.

The Luxi Mattress comes in five sizes, featuring a durable pillow-top zippered exterior to give you access to the inside of your mattress and take your sleep experience into your own hands. All models, except for the Twins and Full, are adjustable by individual sides.
The Luxi mattress consists of four layers split into two easily-maneuverable layers that you can rearrange to adjust the firmness of your mattress. These layers are enveloped in a zippered case with a durable woven base cover on the bottom and a super plush pillow-top cover.
