Purchase and delivery
The Koala Balmain Bed Base can be ordered online (through the Koala website) and it will arrive at your door in 3 separate boxes.

This bed base comes in one colour – ‘Warm Ash’.
The delivery system for this bed base included an impressive text message service that offered a number of different delivery days and times. We were instructed to select one or more of these options that best suited us.
Assembling
The Koala Balmain Bed Base is cleverly designed in terms of its assembly. It doesn’t require any tools (Allen keys, screwdrivers, spanners) and the instructions are easy to follow.
It should only take 5-10 minutes to assemble, but we would still recommend having two people on hand.

Once assembled, the Koala Balmain Bed Base presents with a clean, modern style. It should blend into most bedroom decor and colour themes.
Stability and practicality
The Koala Balmain Bed Base uses 4 ‘panel slats’ that create an even surface that should suit almost any mattress. The bed base feels stable and can accommodate up to 240 kgs.
Overall build quality is excellent, and the panel slats should allow for good ventilation. It’s also worth noting that there is a generous 19cm of storage space underneath.
The bed base does exceed the dimensions of the mattress, but the extra length and width is only minimal. So, it’s unlikely that you will be knocking or banging your shins on the sides.
