How do I order the Eco Kids Mattress?
The Eco Kids Mattress can be purchased directly through the Eco Kids website, and delivery is free to most metropolitan and inner-regional areas across Australia.
Delivery availability is determined by the brand’s national courier partners:
- Metro areas (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Perth & Hobart): Free delivery
- Inner regional areas: Free delivery where courier coverage is available
- Outer regional areas: A flat delivery fee may apply
- Remote areas: Some remote locations are not currently serviced
Each Eco Kids Mattress is made to order, and manufacturing takes approximately 3 business days before dispatch. Once shipped from the Melbourne facility, estimated delivery times are:
- Melbourne Metro: around 3 business days
- Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide & Canberra Metro: within 14 business days
- All other areas: within 21 business days
Please note that delivery timeframes may extend depending on your location, the courier, or busy periods such as Christmas.
Eco Kids also offers Next Day Delivery to selected Melbourne suburbs for orders placed before 2 pm AEDT (excluding the Christmas holiday period).
For Melbourne customers wanting extra convenience, a Premium Delivery Service is available. This includes placement of the mattress in your chosen room, assembly (where applicable), removal of packaging, and delivery via lifts or stairs where safe and accessible. This service operates Monday to Friday during business hours.

The top surface is made from a blend of natural bamboo lyocell and 100% Australian cotton. This creates a soft, breathable, and hypoallergenic sleep surface that’s ideal for sensitive skin.
The cotton is fully traceable through Cotton Australia, while the bamboo lyocell fabric is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, ensuring it is free from harmful substances and safe for direct skin contact.
2. Premium Certified Foams
Beneath the top panel sits a combination of high-quality comfort foams that are certified as eco-friendly and non-toxic by GECA. These foams provide gentle pressure relief for small joints while maintaining safe, stable support.
3. Chiro Flex ES Spring System
The comfort layers rest on the Chiro Flex ES spring system, designed specifically for children. This support unit is up to 60% stronger than spring systems typically found in standard kids’ mattresses, providing excellent spinal alignment as children grow.
This spring system also features a higher coil count for more consistent support across the entire surface, helping promote healthy posture and long-term durability.

Spinal support is a clear strength of this mattress. The Chiro Flex ES spring system feels stable and well-balanced, accommodating children of all sizes and supporting healthy posture as they grow. While this mattress isn’t designed for full-time adult use, it can comfortably support an adult during occasional co-sleeping.
Responsiveness is excellent. The mattress adapts quickly to movement, so kids should find it easy to change positions during the night without feeling ‘stuck’ or restricted.

One of its standout features is edge support. In fact, it is the strongest edge we’ve seen in any kids mattress we’ve tested. This reinforced perimeter not only reduces the chance of a child rolling off the side, but also provides a safe, stable surface for sitting, reading, and play.
The mattress is suitable for children aged 2 through to teenagers and young adults. With a weight capacity of up to 120kg, it comfortably accommodates kids of all sizes and offers long-term durability as they grow.
Safety and non-toxicity are major features of this mattress. The Dunlop comfort foams are GECA-certified, verifying lower environmental impact and reduced chemical emissions. The bamboo lyocell fabric is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, meaning it is free from harmful substances and safe for direct skin contact.
Hygroflex foam carries a Global GreenTag Level A certification and is designed to add resilience, preserve the natural quilt layers, and improve overall pressure relief.

Bed base compatibility
What type of bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend using the Eco Kids Mattress on a bed base with flat, solid panel slats such as the Koala Paddington Bed Base.
A bed base with rigid timber slats – like the Porto Bed Base – is also an excellent match and will provide stable, even support.
We advise against using flexible (posture) slats, as they can create inconsistent support and may compromise the mattress’s performance. It’s important to note that using an unsuitable foundation can also void the mattress warranty.
We do not recommend pairing the Eco Kids Mattress with an adjustable (electric) bed base, as the bending mechanisms may damage the mattress components. If you require an adjustable-friendly option, you can view our full list of compatible mattresses here.
As always, keep in mind that mattress firmness, performance, and long-term durability can vary depending on the type of bed base used.
Trial period and warranty
What happens if it doesn’t suit my child?
The Eco Kids Mattress comes with a generous 150-night trial, giving you plenty of time to ensure it’s the right fit for your child. If you’re not completely satisfied within this period, you can return the mattress for a full refund.
To keep returned mattresses out of landfill, all trial returns are donated to local charities, so the mattress must be kept in as-new condition with no marks, stains, or damage. We strongly recommend using a mattress protector from day one.
For the return to be accepted, the mattress must be repacked into its original plastic bag, as freight partners cannot collect mattresses that are not fully sealed. Customers are responsible for re-packing the mattress before pickup can be arranged.
Return shipping is free for metro areas (Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth). For customers outside these zones, return freight is not covered – you will need to deliver the mattress to your nearest charity and provide proof of drop-off before a refund can be processed.
The Eco Kids Mattress is also backed by a 10-year warranty that covers faults in materials and workmanship. This warranty applies to the original purchaser and excludes general wear and tear or damage caused by misuse or improper care.
