The Dream Elegance 4500 Comfort is a medium-firm mattress that offers reasonable value. It lacks the sophistication of some of its competitors in this price bracket but it does come with a 10 year warranty.

Purchase and delivery

This mattress can be ordered online, and delivery is available Australia-wide (see delivery times in our ‘Delivery’ section further down). It can also be purchased through any of Amart Furniture’s 69 stores across Australia.

Aesthetically, the Dream Elegance 4500 Comfort has a rather basic appearance but still gives off a clean, modern look. It uses a dark grey and white colour combination along with a brand name label at its base.

Comfort and support

The top comfort layer consists of a stretch Tencel ticking cover and latex and foam comfort layers underneath. These layers offer a modest level of comfort, but they do feel rather dense.

We rated the Dream Elegance 4500 Comfort as a ‘medium-firm’ feel and a 7.5 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.

The spring system used in the Dream Elegance 4500 Comfort is a ‘5 Zone 6 Turn Pocket Spring Support Structure‘. This system offers decent support but does lack the refinement of other spring systems we have tested. Nevertheless, it should accommodate people of most sizes.

The finer details

In terms of build quality and craftsmanship, this mattress is reasonable. It does have side handles to allow for easy lifting, and edge support is firm. Its overall quality of trims and finishings aren’t exceptional, but are certainly respectable at this price point.

Partner disturbance shouldn’t be an issue, this will understandably depend on the size of the occupants of the bed.
