The Dream Elegance 1500 Comfort is one of the cheapest mattresses on the Australian market. As you would expect, it is lacking in comfort and quality and would only be recommended for temporary sleeping arrangements. 

Purchase and delivery

This mattress can be ordered online, and delivery is available Australia-wide (see delivery times in our ‘Delivery’ section further down). It can also be purchased through any of Amart Furniture’s 69 stores across Australia.

Aesthetically, the Dream Elegance 1500 Comfort has a rather basic appearance but still gives off a clean, modern look. It uses a dark grey and white colour combination along with a brand name label at its base.

Comfort and support

The top comfort layer consists of a 3.2cm layer of foam. This offers some pressure relief, but its comfort level is very basic and feels noticeably unrefined.

We rated the Dream Elegance 1500 Comfort as a ‘medium-firm’ feel and a 7.5 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.

The spring system used in the Dream Elegance 1500 Comfort is a ‘Bonnell Spring System‘. This system feels unstable, cheap, and flimsy and would struggle supporting larger people.

The finer details

In terms of build quality and craftsmanship, this mattress is deficient across the board. It does not have side handles to allow for easier lifting, and the overall quality of trims and finishings appear basic.

Partner disturbance will also be an issue, but this will understandably depend on the size of the occupants of the bed.
