The Deep Dream Green Tea Mattress is available to purchase through Lifely Furniture. As the name suggests, it contains a special ‘green tea’ infused foam that helps to maintain a clean and hygienic sleep environment.
This mattress forms part of Lifely’s (previously E-Living) Deep Dream mattress range, that includes the highly popular Deep Dream Premium Mattress and Deep Dream Essential Mattress.
Purchase and delivery
As with other ‘mattress in a box’ products, you can simply order this mattress online (through the Lifely website) and it will arrive at your door in a compact box. Delivery is fast and Lifely do free shipping to most metro areas Australia-wide (to check delivery fees, see below in our ‘Delivery’ section).
The Deep Dream Green Tea Mattress was easy to remove from its packaging. As usual, we recommend having two people available to unpack a mattress in a box, even though it is usually manageable with one person.
Unpacking this mattress should only take 5-10 minutes, and as always, we gave it 24 hours to fully decompress before we conducted our assessment.
Comfort and support
The top layer of knitted fabric sits over a combination of comfort foams, which includes the special layer of green tea infused memory foam. According to the product specifications, the green tea infused foam helps to reduce moisture and bacteria, making it more hygienic.

The top comfort layer is very comfortable and absorbs body weight smoothly and evenly. The mattress should suit all sleeping positions (side sleepers, back sleepers, and stomach sleepers) but understandably, its suitability will vary between individuals.
Our team rated this mattress as a true ‘medium’ feel and a 5.5 / 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest). Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort. Furthermore, our firmness ratings are assigned based on Bedbuyer’s testing process and these may differ from firmness ratings given by individual companies.
These comfort layers sit over a sturdy 5 zone pocket spring system which should provide adequate spinal support for most.
The Deep Dream Green Tea Mattress responds nicely to normal sleep movements and we rated its level of responsiveness in the optimal zone. In basic terms, this means that changing sleep positions (and intimate activities) shouldn’t be too much trouble.
Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.
The finer details
Edge support is reasonable and partner disturbance is minimal. Although you can feel the springs through the side of the mattress, it’s certainly not a deal breaker when you consider the price.
What bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend the Deep Dream Green Tea Mattress to be used with a solid bed frame (such as the Sleep Republic Pro Base), or a solid ensemble base (with the slats no longer than 8 cm apart).
A bed frame (with flexible slats) may still be adequate, but again, we strongly recommend that the distance between each slat is less than 8 cm. Use of an unsupportive mattress foundation will usually void the mattress warranty.

Overall, the Deep Dream Green Mattress is a good, medium feel option in the mattress in a box market. It offers very good value and comes with a market-leading 20 year warranty.
