The Crown Premiere Providence Plush is a premium quality, softer feel mattress made by Crown Posture Bedding. Along with this plush variant, it also comes in a firm and medium version.

The Crown Premiere Providence Plush presents with a simple, classic style. It uses a white and grey colour theme and and its finishings and demonstrate its high level of quality.
Comfort and support
The top surface of this mattress is made from a micro-modal knit cover. This feels thick and durable, and should offer adequate ventilation. This cover sits over a wool blend quilt, a pillow top spacer, and a layer of graphite memory foam.
This sophisticated comfort layer also contains a flexible coating called Black Diamond, which helps with air flow and temperature regulation. In addition, this comfort layer contains a layer of ‘Pulse Latex’ that helps with pressure relief.
This comfort layer feels relatively dense, and feels rather firm considering it is a plush version. Nevertheless, it offers plenty of pressure relief in all sleeping positions. To this point, it should be suitable for side sleepers, back sleepers, and stomach sleepers, however this suitability will vary between individuals.
We rated the Crown Premiere Providence Plush as a ‘medium’ feel and a 5 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort. Furthermore, our firmness ratings are assigned based on Bedbuyer’s testing process and these may differ from firmness ratings given by individual companies.
The spring system used in the Crown Premiere Providence Plush is an advanced Quadcoil Pocket Coil system. This system is exclusive to the premium end of Crown Posture Bedding mattresses, and feels particularly robust. It will accomodate people of all sizes, and offers excellent spinal support.
The Quadcoil Pocket Coil system also isolates motion well, so partner disturbance is minimal.
The Crown Premiere Providence Plush responds nicely to normal sleep movements and we rated its level of responsiveness as ‘optimal’. In basic terms, this means that changing sleep positions (and intimate activities) shouldn’t be any trouble.
Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.
The finer details
In terms of build quality and craftsmanship, the Crown Premiere Providence Plush is outstanding. Edge support is sound, thanks to enhanced perimeter reinforcement and foam encasement. The mattress also comes with strong side handles to assist in rotation and transport.
In terms of after sales service, this mattress is well backed with a 10 year warranty.
What bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend the Crown Premiere Providence Plush to be used with a solid bed frame (such as the Sleep Republic Pro Base), or a solid ensemble base (with the slats no longer than 8 cm apart).
A bed frame (with flexible slats) may still be adequate, but again, we strongly recommend that the distance between each slat is less than 8 cm. Use of an unsupportive mattress foundation will usually void the mattress warranty.
