The cover is finished with Bekaert’s Real Silk fibres, giving the surface a soft, luxurious feel.
2. Breathable wool blend quilt layer
Beneath the cover is a breathable wool blend quilt layer. Wool naturally helps regulate temperature and manage moisture, contributing to a cooler and drier sleep environment while also adding gentle cushioning to the mattress surface.
3. Graphite memory foam

The Plush version offers generous pressure relief with a soft, spongy feel. Despite its softness, it does not allow the body to dip excessively, and it maintains a balanced sleeping position that still feels supportive.

Overall, this range should appeal to sleepers who enjoy a comfortable, slightly luxurious feel without sacrificing support. The firmness options also align fairly closely with typical firmness expectations, with the Medium feeling like a true medium and the firmer versions offering progressively stronger support.

Across all versions, the spring system feels very strong and stable, providing excellent underlying support and good spinal alignment. While the generous comfort layers mean the mattress is not highly responsive, it still allows sleepers to move and change positions without difficulty. For this reason, our testing team rated ease of movement within the optimal range.

The finer details
What else should I know?
The Crown Posture Bedding Premiere Yves mattress demonstrates a high level of overall quality and craftsmanship. The finishing, stitching, upholstery and panel construction all appear very well executed, consistent with its positioning within Crown’s premium Premiere range.
With a profile of around 40cm (depending on the comfort option), the Yves sits within the high-profile category of mattresses. As such, you may need deep-fitting sheets to ensure a proper fit, particularly for the thicker versions.
During testing we did not detect any significant motion transfer.
The mattress is also relatively substantial in weight, though lighter than some comparable premium models. A queen size weighs approximately 51kg, which should make it somewhat easier to handle compared with heavier luxury mattresses. To assist with lifting and rotation, the mattress is fitted with securely attached side handles positioned on the base and sides, making repositioning more manageable.
Edge support is commendable throughout the range. As expected, the Plush version feels slightly softer around the edges, but overall stability remains good and sleepers should be able to comfortably utilise most of the mattress surface.
Partner disturbance is also well controlled. During testing we did not detect any significant motion transfer, with the pocket spring system helping to absorb movement effectively. As with most mattresses, larger sizes such as king and super king will typically offer even better motion isolation.

Bed base compatibility
What type of bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend this mattress to be used with a bed base with solid slats (not flexible/posture slats), such as the Atlantis Bed Base.
We would advise against using a bed base with flexible (posture) slats as this type of base may not provide adequate support. Ultimately, the use of an unsupportive mattress foundation may void the mattress warranty.

What happens if I notice a fault?
The Crown Posture Bedding Premiere Yves mattress is backed by a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
