Yinahla Posture Gel Review
The Yinahla Posture Gel is an excellent mattress that has a lovely medium-firm feel. It forms part of the Yinahla range that was awarded Australia’s ‘Best Back Care Mattress range’ in 2025.
Purchase and delivery
The Yinahla Posture Gel can be conveniently ordered online, through the Yinahla website. Delivery is free, and the mattress can be delivered Australia-wide (see full delivery details in our ‘Delivery’ section further down).
The mattress arrived in pristine condition, thanks to some protective plastic wrapping. Unlike most mattresses available online, the Yinahla Posture Gel doesn’t come compressed in a box. This means that you won’t have to wait for it to decompress, before sleeping on it.

The Yinahla Posture Gel presents well and blends classic style with a definite a touch of luxury. It sits 36cm high and uses a white and beige colour theme. The special embroidery and Australian made label also give it a nice touch of class.
Comfort and support
The top comfort layer of this mattress starts with Yinahla‘s signature ‘elastin knitted fabric’. This cover feels just divine and oozes quality and sophistication.
This cover sits over a combination of premium foam layers that includes a medical grade Posture Gel™ layer. This has an open airflow structure that helps to improve ventilation while flexing to the to the natural shape of your body.
The Posture Gel™ comfort layer bonds to a solid layer of Ultra HD Dunlop Opulence foam, which is a highly advanced foam product.
This top comfort layer feels reasonably dense, but still offers nice pressure relief. The mattress should suit all sleeping positions (side sleepers, back sleepers, and stomach sleepers) but understandably, its suitability will vary between individuals.
We rated the Yinahla Posture Gel as a ‘medium – firm’ feel and a 7.5 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort. Furthermore, our firmness ratings are assigned based on Bedbuyer’s testing process and these may differ from firmness ratings given by individual companies.
The spring system used in the Yinahla Posture Gel is market-leading and will accomodate people of all sizes. It uses a 9 zone ‘ultra coil’ pocket spring system that provides outstanding spinal support.
It’s worth noting that this spring system has an exceptionally high spring count (1,967 springs in a queen size mattress). This helps to isolate movement very well, so partner disturbance is minimal.
The Yinahla Posture Gel responds nicely to normal sleep movements and we rated its level of responsiveness in the optimal zone. In basic terms, this means that changing sleep positions (and intimate activities) shouldn’t be any trouble.
Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.
With all things considered, this mattress offers a lovely balance of support, comfort, and responsiveness.
The finer details
In terms of build quality and craftsmanship, this mattress is excellent. It has strong side handles to make rotating (and transporting) the mattress easier, and its ‘full edge box’ construction ensures that edge support is firm.

It’s worth noting here that all of the foams used in the Yinahla Posture Gel are certified as eco-friendly and non-toxic by GECA (Good Environmental Choice Australia). With this in mind, you can feel safe bringing this product into your home.
The Yinahla Posture Gel has an incredible 20-year warranty, a strong indication as to its quality and durability. And of course its 150 night trial period allows you to return the mattress for a full refund in the unlikely chance you are not satisfied.
What bed base should I use?
As with most mattresses, we recommend the Yinahla Posture Gel to be used with a sturdy bed frame with solid slats (such as the Chiropedic Bed Base). We also recommend that these slats are no longer than 8 cm apart.
A bed frame with ‘flexible’ (posture) slats will not provide adequate support for this mattress. Please note that any unsupportive mattress foundation will void the warranty for this mattress.
Furthermore, we do not recommend the Yinahla Posture Gel to be used with an adjustable (electric) bed base as this will also void the warranty. Here is our full list of mattresses that are compatible with an adjustable bed base.
It’s worth noting here that mattress firmness, performance, and durability will vary with different bed bases.
