The Sealy Posturepedic Singles Affinity Firm has reasonable spinal support but as with the plush version, this mattress feels cheap and has that distinct ‘bouncy’ feel to it which often indicates a very basic spring system. Nothing special here.
Beautyrest Curv Sassy (Discontinued)
The Beautyrest Curv Sassy has a dense and ‘heavy’ feel to it. It has decent spinal support but doesn’t seem to hug the body that well. Partner disturbance is minimal. A good quality product but we just don’t like the overall feel of the foam layers here.
Beautyrest Curv Stylish (Discontinued)
The Beautyrest Curv Stylish has a somewhat ‘airy’ feel to it and is quite comfortable. Spinal support is quite decent as well. Partner disturbance is minimal. A good option but for the price we think you can do better.
Beautyrest Black Newport Plush (Discontinued)
The Beautyrest Black Newport Plush has a nice soft feel to it and as such is very comfortable. Also hugs the body quite well. The spinal support is OK but just not ‘quite there’. Partner disturbance is minimal.
SleepMaker Halo Medium (Discontinued)
The SleepMaker Halo Medium has a somewhat ‘rubbery’ feel to it. Decent spinal support although there may be a little partner disturbance. Feels a little cheap but for the price it is a good one.
SleepMaker Miracoil Classic Firm (Discontinued)
The SleepMaker Miracoil Classic Firm as the name suggests is firm but has a ‘hard’ feel to it and as such not particularly comfortable. Partner disturbance is minimal but for $1299 you can do better.
SleepMaker Miracoil Support Super Firm (Discontinued)
The SleepMaker Miracoil Support Super Firm has a bouncy feel to it but is comfortable and spinal support is good. Partner disturbance also seems minimal. A very good option for under $2000. Go and try it.
SleepMaker Miracoil Support Firm (Discontinued)
The SleepMaker Miracoil Support Firm is comfortable and supportive – very similar to the super firm version. Has a slightly bouncy feel but partner disturbance seems minimal. A serious contender for under $2000. Go and try this one out.
Sealy Posturepedic Navi Plush (Discontinued)
The Sealy Posturepedic Navi Plush is comfortable but has a somewhat ‘flimsy’ top layer to it and as such there may be some partner disturbance. Spinal support is decent but for the price we think it’s a hard sell.
Sealy Posturepedic Navi Medium (Discontinued)
The Sealy Posturepedic Navi Medium like the plush version has this flimsy top layer to it. Feels a little ‘bouncy’ but fairly supportive. There may be some partner disturbance here. A hard sell for the price.
Sealy Posturepedic Hampstead Firm (Discontinued)
The Sealy Posturepedic Hampstead Firm is well built but we just don’t like the overall feel of this mattress. It is supportive but just doesn’t absorb the body well. There may be some partner disturbance also.
Sealy Posturepedic Trafalgar Firm (Discontinued)
The Sealy Posturepedic Trafalgar Firm is a little bouncy with a bit of partner disturbance but otherwise is a comfortable and supportive mattress. The only major problem is that heft price tag. If you have the cash and you really like the feel of this mattress, we won’t talk you out of it.
