The SleepMaker Miracoil Hillier 4 Mattress is available at Beds R Us. It has the typical SleepMaker ‘spring’ which can feel a bit cheap and bouncy.
Tempur Hydra Original (Discontinued)
The Tempur Hydra Original has that familiar Tempur hardness and dense feel to it. Comfort level is OK. Virtually no partner disturbance but a hard sell for the price. Make sure you consider that the Tempur mattresses can get quite hot so air conditioning would always be recommended.
Tempur Hydra Sensation (Discontinued)
The Tempur Hydra Sensation feels a bit hard and dense. Comfort level is OK but would be a bit hard for many. Virtually no partner disturbance but make sure you consider that the Tempur mattresses can get quite hot so air conditioning would be recommended.
Beautyrest Black Providence (Discontinued)
The Beautyrest Black Providence feels quite hard but support is quite good. Should be comfortable enough for most but make sure you take your time to assess how your hips and shoulders sink into the top layer. Partner disturbance appears minimal.
Beautyrest Black Delaware Super Firm (Discontinued)
The Beautyrest Black Delaware Super Firm is hard and not particularly comfortable. Support is OK and partner disturbance seems minimal but we would recommend trying the firm version as we rated this highly. The build quality appears exceptional but as a result the price tag is hefty.
ComforPedic from Beautyrest Delta 25 (Discontinued)
The ComforPedic from Beautyrest Delta 25 feels hard, dense, and not comfortable at all. With such a hard surface, the level of spinal support becomes difficult to measure as the mattress surface doesn’t hug the body or spine well. Keep looking.
SleepMaker Miracoil Classic Medium (Discontinued)
The SleepMaker Miracoil Classic Medium feels nice and comfortable and supportive too. Still a little bouncy and unsophisticated but partner disturbance seems minimal. We didn’t like the plush version of this model but we quite like this one. A strong contender for $1299. Worth a try.
SleepMaker Miracoil Classic Plush (Discontinued)
The SleepMaker Miracoil Classic Plush feels soft but at the same time has a strange hardness to it. Not sure we like the feel of this one. Partner disturbance is minimal but overall not convinced on this one.
SleepMaker Miracoil Support Plush (Discontinued)
The SleepMaker Miracoil Support Plush feels soft and comfortable but probably at the expense of some spinal support. Has a somewhat cheap and bouncy feel to it but partner disturbance appears minimal. For under $2000 it isn’t bad but we would suggest the medium and firm versions would suit most people better.
SleepMaker Miracoil Support Medium (Discontinued)
The SleepMaker Miracoil Support Medium is very comfortable and still quite supportive which makes for a very respectable mattress. Has a slightly bouncy feel but partner disturbance seems minimal. A good one for under $2000.
King Koil Chiro Luxury Plush (Discontinued)
The King Koil Chiro Luxury Plush has a sinking feeling to it which is not unexpected in a plush version. The strange thing is though, it has a hard feel to it as well which feels quite unusual. We must say we didn’t like the feel of this mattress.
King Koil Chiro Luxury Medium (Discontinued)
The King Koil Chiro Luxury Medium feels heavy and dense – not super comfortable but should be tolerable for most. Appears to be well-built and partner disturbance seems minimal but there is a hardness to this mattress.
