The Beautyrest Black Hybrid Alexandra feels a bit spongy and initially it gives a strange sinking feeling. Nevertheless it provides good spinal support and has very minimal partner disturbance. Price tag is a bit hefty though.
Visco Heaven (Discontinued)
The Visco Heaven is a beauty. It is comfortable, stable, and offers good spinal support. Partner disturbance also seems minimal.
Basic Pillowtop (Discontinued)
The Basic Pillowtop is a cheap, flimsy mattress that offers poor spinal support. Partner disturbance would also be an issue. We would suggest spending just a little more to get the Pocket Spring Pillowtop or the Comfort Support.
My Side Series 10 Firm* (Discontinued)
The My Side Series are an interesting group of beds to review as there is a distinct difference as you move from Series 10 down to Series 2. At this stage, we feel the firm version of the Series 4 is the best.
My Side Series 4 Firm* (Discontinued)
The My Side series allows you to choose a different option on each side of the bed. The My Side Series 4 Firm version has a beautiful feel to it – it is firm but just the right mix of comfort and support.
Beautyrest Black Katherine (Discontinued)
The Beautyrest Black Katherine is very comfortable but still has decent spinal support despite a slight sinking feeling. Partner disturbance seems almost non-existent. A good mattress but a hard sell for the price tag.
Tempur Nirvana Comfort (Discontinued)
The Tempur Nirvana Comfort feels comfortable and supportive when you first lie down, but it gradually softens over time and some of the support feels lost. The level of partner disturbance is very minimal but as with most Tempur mattresses it comes with a big price tag.
2 Temps (Discontinued)
The 2 Temps Mattress available at the Original Mattress Factory offers a firm version and medium version which makes it very versatile.
Sleep & Co ‘Hybrid’ Mattress (Discontinued)
The Sleep & Co ‘Hybrid’ Mattress is comfortable with a nice ‘light’ feel. It absorbs body weight well. The spring system also provides very good spinal support.
Eurotop 60mm Memory Foam (Discontinued)
The Eurotop 60mm is an excellent, well-priced mattress. It feels quite “dense” so take your time lying on it, particularly on your side to see if it suits your body shape. Having said that, it is still comfortable and offers excellent spinal and body support.
Comfort Touch* (Discontinued)
The Comfort Touch has a rather unique top layer of large pockets of gel memory foam. It offers good spinal support but you do get that “puffy” sinking feeling which may not be to everyone’s taste.
Sealy Posturepedic Aspire Vogue Deluxe Plush (Discontinued)
The Sealy Posturepedic Aspire Vogue Deluxe Plush is comfortable but has a distinct bouncy and springy feel to it. There is some partner disturbance here as well.
