The Tempur Sensation 27 feels quite firm and dense. Spinal support is good and it feels quite ‘squishy’ and foamy. It may not be to everyone’s taste it is still a good sleeping surface in terms of spinal health.
Tempur Cloud 21 (Discontinued)
The Tempur Cloud 21 feels nice to lie on and moulds to the body very well. This may not be to everyone’s liking but we did like the feel of this one.
Sealy Posturepremier Hemsworth Plush (Discontinued)
The Sealy Posturepremier Hemsworth Plush has a nice soft feel on the top but it does feel bouncy, flimsy, and unstable. We hate to say it but a typical cheap Sealy feel.

The Sealy Posturepremier Hemsworth Firm feels firm and hard and not comfortable at all. It has a typical bouncy and flimsy Sealy feel to it and partner disturbance will be an issue.

The Sealy Posturepremier Hemsworth Medium feels bouncy and a little flimsy but spinal support is OK and partner disturbance doesn’t seem too bad. Fair for the price.
Havana Extra Firm (DISCONTINUED)
The Havana Extra Firm has a somewhat bouncy feel to it and is quite dense and firm. For this reason it would not suit a side sleeper. Nothing particularly exciting here.
SleepX Mattress ‘Restore Firm’ (Discontinued)
The SleepX Mattress – Restore Firm as expected feels firm and a little hard. It would suit those who prefer a firmer feel.
SleepX Mattress ‘Balance Medium’ (Discontinued)
The SleepX Mattress (Balance Medium version) is still reasonably firm but as expected is more comfortable than the ‘restore firm’ version.
SleepX Mattress ‘Serenity Soft’ (Discontinued)
The SleepX Mattress (Serenity Soft version) has a slight sinking feeling and is quite soft as you would expect this model. Spinal support is OK once you get settled and it moulds to the body quite well.
Skönast Cot Mattress (Discontinued)
The Skönast Cot Mattress has a good level of firmness but may be lacking in ventilation. Fairly basic but about right for the price.
Hidrasund Firm (Discontinued)
The Hidrasund Firm is as expected, slightly firmer than the medium-firm version which means there is decent spinal support. Comfort is a little compromised.
Hidrasund Medium Firm (Discontinued)
The Hidrasund (Medium Firm) Mattress is available at IKEA. It comes with an attractive price tag, but is it really worth considering?
