Bedgear M3 Mattress Review
The Bedgear M3 Mattress is a highly customisable mattress that comes conveniently packed in a compact box. It comes in 4 firmness options, allowing you to choose the feel that suits your individual preference.
Purchase and delivery
This mattress can be ordered online, and delivery is available Australia-wide (see full delivery information in our ‘Delivery’ section below). It can also be purchased through any of Snooze’s stores across Australia. As it is a ‘mattress in a box’ it can be collected in-store.
Aesthetically, the Bedgear M3 Mattress looks modern and futuristic. It uses varying shades of grey in its colour theme and has model name embroidery (on the side).
The different components of the mattress (chassis, comfort layer, springs) come in different boxes and can be assembled as shown in the video below:
Comfort and support
The Bedgear M3 Mattress uses a Ver-Tex® zip-off cover which feels incredibly cool and would suit those who are prone to hot sleeping. This cover is removable and washable, and sits over the comfort layer and the spring system.
This cover sits over a comfort layer that is made up of memory foam, micro pocket springs, and latex. This comfort layer offers nice pressure relief and responsiveness, but this will vary depending on the firmness level that is selected (in the suspension unit).
The independent suspension unit (another fancy name for springs) comes in different firmness options and are categorised as 0.0, 1.0, 2.0 & 3.0, with 0.0 being the firmest version, and 3.0 being the softest version.
We rated the firm version (0.0) as a ‘medium-firm‘ feel and a 7.5 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
Firm version (0.0)
We rated the medium-firm version (1.0) as a ‘medium‘ feel and a 6 / 10 on the firmness scale.
Medium-firm version (1.0)
We rated the medium-soft version (2.0) as a ‘medium‘ feel and a 5 / 10 on the firmness scale.
Medium-soft version (2.0)
Soft version (3.0)
We rated the soft version (3.0) as a ‘plush‘ feel and a 3.5 / 10 on the firmness scale.
All spring configurations offer good spinal support and respond to normal sleep movements well. Additionally, all firmness variations feel stable and should accommodate people of all sizes.
The finer details
In terms of build quality and craftsmanship, the Bedgear M3 Mattress stacks up well. It doesn’t come with side handles, but its quality and finishings are well refined.
Edge support is respectable, and partner disturbance is minimal. This will vary of course depending on the size of the occupants of the bed. The mattress comes with a 10 year warranty but unlike most other mattress in a box products, it doesn’t offer a trial period. In fairness, this mattress can be tested out in-store.
Please note that the Bedgear M3 Mattress is compatible with an adjustable (electric) bed base. Here is our full list of mattresses that are compatible with an adjustable bed base.
Available sizes
The Bedgear M3 Mattress is available in 3 sizes (king, queen, and long single) so it should suit most sleeping arrangements. Here are Australia’s standard bed (mattress) sizes in 2022.
Final verdict

With a focus on performance, the team at BEDGEAR use innovation to develop products with the goal of optimising your recovery while you sleep.
Snooze has been giving Australians a better night’s sleep for more than 40 years – and with more than 80 stores Australia wide it has most bedrooms covered.
Many Snooze franchises operate as family run businesses, with local staff and strong connections within the community. Snooze’s commitment and support of the area in which it operates is often demonstrated through local partnerships.
The staff in each Snooze store are specially trained sales people who understand the key to a good night’s sleep – everyone is different and their sleep needs vary.
With that in mind, Snooze is constantly travelling to research the latest bedroom trends and introduce more innovative and technologically advanced products to its range, while also stocking well-known brands including the Bedgear M3 Mattress, Slumberland, Sealy Posturepedic and Tempur.
Snooze stores are all shapes and sizes; some are bigger and some smaller. Beds and bedroom furniture are big and bulky so unfortunately it’s not possible for our Snooze Franchise Partners to display every product in every store. If you would like to view a particular product, then we suggest that you call your local store to check that they have a model on display. Even if a Snooze store does not have a particular product on display please speak with your local store about ordering your Bedgear M3 Mattress.
