Juno Mattress Review
Overall, we found the Juno Mattress to be a comfortable mattress with minimal partner disturbance.
The one aspect which we felt was a little lacking was the build quality. In relation to other the other mattresses in a box we tested, the Juno Mattress had the least amount of thickness. We could almost feel the ground if we bounced on it violently so perhaps this mattress is not suitable for heavier people. Our judges also felt the level of spinal support that the Juno Mattress offered was a little lacking and that the top layer had a bit too much ‘give’ rather than moulded support.
We certainly felt that the Juno mattress was comfortable. The top layer had a nice and soft ‘spongy’ feel, and the 5 zone support absorbed body weight nicely. We noted a slight sinking feeling which is viewed differently based on personal preference, but overall the Juno rated well in terms of comfort. The Celliant fabric was quite unique and was also considered when assessing this category.
We found the Juno Mattress to be a little lacking in support. As much as the mattress absorbed body weight well and was comfortable, we noted an immediate sinking feeling in all sleeping positions which would likely compromise a healthy, neutral spine position. The character of the foam was such that it did mould to the body fairly well, but as mentioned we felt that support of the spine and body could have been better.
We found the amount of foam used in this mattress was in many ways insufficient. It was possibly the only mattress in a box we assessed where various bouncing movements created a sense where the ground could be felt. The outer cover did seem durable.
The amount of partner disturbance we noted on the Juno mattress was minimal. There was a very low level of mattress movement detected but certainly not significant and as a result we rated this category highly. The current listing for a queen-sized Juno Mattress is $1195. The average price of all 25 mattress in a box products in Australia is $1024, making the Juno mattress above average in cost. We felt that there were other mattresses in a box that were of higher quality, and were priced under $1000.
