The My Side GEN 3.0 Green/Red forms part of the My Side mattress range that is exclusive to Forty Winks. The My Side range links with the bedMATCH diagnostic system which aims at matching you with the correct mattress, based on computerised data.

The current My Side mattress range is different from the previous My Side range that was available at Forty Winks (e.g. Series 8). The range is also different from the My Side models that were previously available at Snooze.

Purchase and delivery

This mattress can be ordered online through the Forty Winks website. It can also be purchased through any of Forty Winks’ stores across Australia.

Delivery is available Australia-wide but delivery fees (and times) do vary. Online delivery fees are based on your location from the nearest store, and delivery times will depend on stock availability. For more details, see our ‘Delivery’ section below.

Aesthetically, the My Side GEN 3.0 Green/Red presents well with a simple, modern design. It sits 35cm high, and uses a white and grey colour theme. The colour labels and My Side embroidery also give it a nice touch.

Comfort and support

The top comfort layer of this mattress includes eco-friendly Tencel, copper-infused memory foam, and gel-infused memory foam. This comfort layer also incorporates Cool Wave and Airflow Technology to help with cooling and breathability.

Red side

The support structure used in the My Side GEN 3.0 Green/Red is a Pocket Coil system. This feels robust and offers good spinal support, assuming that the comfort layer is matched appropriately to the individual.

The My Side GEN 3.0 Green/Red responds reasonably well to normal sleep movements. In basic terms, this means that changing sleep positions (and intimate activities) shouldn’t be any trouble.

Please note that our responsiveness scales are just a guide and preferred responsiveness levels will vary between individuals. It’s worth noting also that innerspring mattresses are generally more responsive than foam mattresses.

The finer details

In terms of build quality and craftsmanship, the My Side GEN 3.0 Green/Red rates well. The quality of its finishings is sound, and side handles should make it easy to transport and rotate the mattress.

What bed base should I use?

As with most mattresses, we recommend the My Side GEN 3.0 Green/Red to be used with a solid bed frame (such as the Sleep Republic Pro Base), or a solid ensemble base (with the slats no longer than 8 cm apart).

A bed frame (with flexible slats) may still be adequate, but again, we strongly recommend that the distance between each slat is less than 8 cm. Use of an unsupportive mattress foundation will usually void the mattress warranty.
