The Slumberland Chiswick comes with an attractive low price, but is noticeably deficient in quality and support. We would generally recommend this for a temporary sleeping arrangement, or for a guest room.
Purchase and delivery
This mattress can be ordered online, and delivery is available Australia-wide (see full delivery information in our ‘Delivery’ section below). It can also be purchased through any of Snooze’s stores across Australia.
Aesthetically, the Slumberland Chiswick has a rather basic appearance and uses a white and grey colour theme. It also has a brand name label at its base.
Comfort and support
This mattress has a comfort layer made from High Loft foam. This offers reasonable comfort, but not surprisingly, it does feel cheap.
We rated the Slumberland Chiswick as a ‘medium-firm’ feel and a 6.5 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
The spring system used in the Slumberland Chiswick is a 3 Zone Bonnell (Spring) support system. As with most Bonnell spring units, this feels cheap and unstable. It will struggle to provide adequate support for larger people.
The finer details
In terms of build quality and craftsmanship, the Slumberland Chiswick is very basic. It doesn’t come with side handles, and its quality and finishings seem rather unrefined.
Edge support is fair at best, and partner disturbance will likely be a problem. This will depend of course on the size of the occupants of the bed.

The 3-zone pocket coil support system allows coils to be distributed more evenly across the mattress, to assist with supporting you while you sleep and waking up feeling more restful.
