Pillow construction
The Peace lily Kapok Pillow starts with a handmade, 100% certified organic cotton cover. This feels smooth, soft, and well ventilated. This cover can be easily opened using a zip located on the side of the pillow.
Inside this pillow consists of a body of kapok fibres. These fibres are moisture-resistant plant fibres that provide a soft sleeping surface. Furthermore, these kapok fibres can be removed to adjust the height of the pillow. This allows you to ‘experiment’ in terms of finding the right height and softness.
Comfort and support
The kapok fibres don’t feel bouncy or responsive like typical foam pillows, but in terms of comfort and support, they really do work. The fibres tend to mould to your head and neck, and in doing so offer good support.
The body of fibres feel a little ‘lumpy’ but we didn’t find that this compromised on comfort. Overall, we found this pillow to absorb head weight nicely.
Final verdict
