The Pure Form Odysseus is a full foam mattress that has a firm, spongy feel. It is compatible with an adjustable bed base and has a 10 year warranty.

Purchase and delivery

This mattress can be ordered online, and delivery is available Australia-wide (see delivery times in our ‘Delivery’ section below). It can also be purchased through any of Amart Furniture’s 69 stores across Australia.

The Pure Form Odysseus presents well with a cool, futuristic appearance. It uses a grey and white colour theme, with brand name embroidery.

Comfort and support

The top comfort layer of this mattress uses a layer of soft density (gel infused) visco elastic memory foam. This section feels foamy and dense, and moulds to the body quite tightly.

We rated the Pure Form Odysseus as a ‘medium-firm’ feel and an  7.5 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.

The support system of this mattress comprises of a foam core base. This feels stable and offers good back support in all positions. It lacks the responsiveness of similarly priced innerspring mattresses, but it should accommodate people of most sizes.

The finer details

In terms of build quality this mattress is sound, especially in context of its price. Partner disturbance is very minimal, which is typical of many full foam mattresses. With that in mind, it lacks side handles for transport and  edge support is soft.

Available sizes

The Pure Form Odysseus is only available in a queen size so it may not accomodate all sleeping arrangements. Here are Australia’s standard bed (mattress) sizes in 2022.

Final verdict

The Pure Form Odysseus is a nice mattress that offers good back support. Its foamy, dense feel may not suit everyone, but for those who like this feel, it offers good value.
