The Emma Foam Pillow is a highly innovative product that offers excellent support and comfort. It allows you to choose different firmness options (and different heights), making it a true ‘customisable’ pillow.
Pillow construction
The Emma Foam Pillow starts with a breathable cover that is made from (98%) polyester. This cover feels soft, stretchy, and can be easily opened using a zip. It is also removable and washable.
Inside the cover of the Emma Foam Pillow, lies three seperate pillow layers. The top layer (blue) is made of a ‘HRX Supreme Foam’ which is designed for supreme support. The middle layer (white) is an ‘Airgocell® foam’ which is highly breathable and helps to maintain sleep temperature.
The bottom layer (cream) is a ‘viscoelastic foam’ that is designed for comfort and pressure relief. As Emma puts it, a “wonderful, weightless feel”.
How does the customisation work?
This design allows you to choose a slightly firmer or slightly softer feel to your pillow. The difference in feel is noticeable, but at the same time it is not significant. Nevertheless, it does give you some nice flexibility in terms of firmness.
The Emma Foam Pillow also allows you to remove one (or more) of the pillow layers, which will reduce the height of the pillow. This adds further adjustability and more comfort options.
Regardless of what configuration you choose, the Emma Foam Pillow should provide a suitable level of comfort and support for each person.
Comfort and support
HRX Supreme Foam (blue colour) on top
This configuration feels reasonably firm and dense, but still moulds to the neck (and head) nicely. It offers excellent support as well as a nice level of pressure relief.
Viscoelastic Foam (cream colour) on top
This configuration offers a ‘lighter’ and arguably more comfortable feel than the previous configuration. It absorbs head and neck weight very well, and still provides excellent support. This configuration is the one that our team liked best.
Final verdict
The Emma Foam Pillow is an outstanding pillow that offers a number of firmness and height options. It is well made and should allow each person to find the perfect level of comfort and support. It also comes with a handy 100 night trial period.
