The Madison Ultra Premium Empire is Australian made and is one of the most expensive mattresses we have tested. It uses a combination of quality comfort layers as well as a 7 zone spring system.
Purchase and delivery
This mattress can be ordered online, and delivery is available Australia-wide (see full delivery information in our ‘Delivery’ section below). It can also be purchased through any of Snooze’s stores across Australia.
Aesthetically, the Madison Ultra Premium Empire has plenty of presence. It uses a white and brown colour theme, and its finishings and brand embroidery demonstrate a high level of refinement.
Comfort and support
This mattress has sophisticated comfort layer that includes an exclusive Dutch Herringbone super-stretch knit panel and a LiquiGel memory foam cocoon quilting (featuring a fibre, wool and silk blend).
This comfort section feels foamy and soft, with oodles of pressure relief. You may notice a slight sinking sensation which may not be to everyone’s liking.
Nevertheless, we rated the Madison Ultra Premium Empire as a ‘medium-plush’ feel and a 4.5 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
The spring system used in the Madison Ultra Premium Empire uses a layer of micro adaptive pocketed coils combined with a 7-zone pocket spring system. This spring unit feels stable and should accomodate people of all sizes. It offers good spinal support and responds well to sleep movements.
The finer details
In terms of build quality and craftsmanship, the Madison Ultra Premium Empire is exceptional. It comes with strong side handles, and edge support is sound. Its quality and finishings are excellent thanks to its hand cut and tailored trims.
Partner disturbance is noticeably but not significant, but this will depend on the size of the occupants of the bed. The mattress is well backed with a 10 year warranty.

Do you deliver to my area?
We endeavour to deliver your Madison Ultra Premium Empire to every address in Australia, however some addresses that are remote or difficult to access (some islands for instance) need to be quoted on a Price on Application basis.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
The majority of our products are made to order, so delivery times vary from product to product. For example most mattresses take between 7-14 days, while some custom-made furniture can take up to 8 weeks. Estimated lead-times are displayed on product pages.
How much does delivery cost?
If one or more items in your order are bulky (such as beds, mattresses, bedside tables and other bedroom furniture), then your whole order will be delivered by truck. The cost of delivery is then determined by the distance between delivery location and store of purchase:
