The Solace Sleep Weighted Blanket is a good quality product that is available in two weight options (super king and king single). As with other weighted blankets, this product may help to manage stress and anxiety through pressure stimulation.
The Solace Sleep Weighted Blanket includes an inner weighted blanket, and a removable ‘minky’ outer cover. This cover has practical ties to help keep the blanket in place, and has a unique design with ‘textured dots’ that presumably help with pressure stimulation and sensory feedback.
The inner weighted blanket has a breathable, 100% cotton outer layer and is lined with several polyester layers that contain millions of premium heavy glass beads. This allows the blanket to really mould to your body and the pressure stimulation is immediately noticeable. The glass beads do make some sound during movement, but it shouldn’t be a huge problem, considering just how comfortable and therapeutic the blanket is.
The weight of the blanket distributes itself well over your body, and you can’t help notice the potential calming effect within a matter of seconds. The blanket is warm and cozy, but it still regulates temperature well, and certainly didn’t overheat.
The Solace Sleep Weighted Blanket comes in 2 sizes, a king single that weighs 5 kgs, and a super king size that weights 11kgs. It is worth noting that weighted blankets are hard to find in larger sizes, so this super king size may be one to consider.
