The Orthokinetic Apollo Plush is a nice all round mattress that incorporates a dependable 5 zone pocket spring system. It also comes with a 10 year warranty.

Purchase and delivery

This mattress can be ordered online, and delivery is available Australia-wide (see delivery times in our ‘Delivery’ section further down). It can also be purchased through any of Amart Furniture’s 69 stores across Australia.

Visually, the Orthokinetic Apollo Plush presents well with a clean, simple look. It uses a black and white colour combination, along with a nice brand embroidery.

Comfort and support

The top cover of this mattress consists of a premium polyester and wool blend fibre that feels cool and breathable. This sits over a layer of premium quality latex foam which isn’t the most sophisticated comfort layer in the Orthokinetic range, but it is quite comfortable.

We rated the Orthokinetic Apollo Plush more as a ‘medium’ feel and a 6 / 10 on the firmness scale. Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.

The spring system used in the Orthokinetic Apollo Plush is a 5-zone ‘Nested Full Width Pocket Coil Spring’ system. This system feels well balanced and should accomodate people of most sizes. It offers good spinal support and maintains spinal position well in all positions.

The finer details

In terms of build quality and craftsmanship, this mattress is respectable. It doesn’t have side handles but edge support is decent thanks to its ‘Firm Perimeter Coil Edge Guard’. Partner disturbance is minimal, but this will understandably depend on the size of the occupants of the bed.

It’s also worth noting here that the Orthokinetic Apollo range has a 10 year warranty and is endorsed by the Chiropractic and Osteopathic College of Australasia.
