The Indulgence Mattress has a distinct firm feel and offers good back support. It uses gel latex in its comfort layer along with a sturdy pocket spring system.
Purchase and delivery
As with other mattress in a box products, the Indulgence Mattress can be conveniently ordered online (through the Mobile Mattress website) and it will arrive at your door in a box. Delivery is free, and Mobile Mattress deliver Australia wide.
In terms of the unpacking process, we suggest having two people available to unpack a mattress in a box. We would also allow 24 hours to pass (to allow for decompression) before sleeping on this mattress.
Comfort and support
The Indulgence Mattress uses a silver knitted fabric cover that feels smooth and breathable. This cover sits over a layer of ‘perforated gel-latex’ which is specially designed for cooling and ventilation, so overheating shouldn’t be a problem.
This comfort layer offers nice pressure relief, but there is a sense of ‘hardness’. It must be noted that this mattress has an unmistakable firm feel. Our team rated it as an 8.5 / 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest). Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
The Indulgence Mattress uses a sturdy 5 pocket spring system that offers good spinal support. We didn’t detect any undesirable sinking, and it should be adequate for people of most sizes.
The finer details
The overall build quality of this mattress is very good. Edge support is excellent and partner disturbance is minimal. It’s also worth noting here that the Indulgence Mattress has a 10 year warranty.
It must be noted that this mattress has an unmistakable firm feel.
