Purchase and delivery
Just like other mattress in a box products, the Oasis Gel Mattress can be conveniently ordered online (through the Mobile Mattress website) and it will arrive at your door in a box. Delivery is free, and Mobile Mattress deliver Australia wide.
As usual, we recommend having two people available to unpack a mattress in a box, although it still may be manageable with one person. We would also allow 24 hours (for the mattress to fully decompress) before sleeping on this mattress.
Comfort and support
The Oasis Gel Mattress has a rather fancy comfort layer that includes a Tencel quilt fabric, a plush quilted foam, and a high density gel-latex. This provides nice pressure relief and absorbs body weight smoothly.
Based on our testing, our team rated it as a ‘medium-firm’ feel and a 7 / 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest). Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
In terms of a support system, this mattress The 7 zone pocket spring system. This provides very good spinal support, and we did not detect any excessive sinking or dipping. This spring unit feels robust, balanced, and should suit people of all sizes.
The finer details
The overall build quality of this mattress is very good. Edge support is sound, and although there is a little partner disturbance, it is certainly not significant.
