HappySleep Mattress Review
The HappySleep Mattress is a good value option in the mattress in a box market. It has a foam and latex construction and comes with a 100 night trial period.
Purchase and delivery
As with other mattress in a box options, the HappySleep Mattress can be conveniently ordered online (through the HappySleep website) and it will arrive at your door in a box (see delivery times in the ‘Delivery’ section below). Delivery is free, and our box arrived in good condition.
The HappySleep Mattress was easy to remove from its packaging and, as usual, we recommend having two people available to unpack a mattress in a box. As per our standard protocol, we allowed it to decompress for 24 hours before testing. You can see the unboxing process in HappySleep’s video below:
Aesthetically, the HappySleep Mattress has a simple yet stylish appearance. It offers the choice of a turquoise or a grey colour theme, and the brand name embroidery gives it a nice touch.
Comfort and support
The HappySleep Mattress has a well ventilated Tencel cover that contains a smooth and soft. This cover sits over a layer of memory foam and natural latex. This comfort layer does feel dense, but still offers nice pressure relief. It absorbs body weight gradually and we didn’t detect any undesirable sinking or dipping.
Based on our testing, our team rated it as a ‘medium-firm feel’ and an 7.5 / 10 on the firmness scale (with 10 being the firmest). Please note that our firmness ratings are just a guide and they do not necessarily relate to comfort.
The HappySleep Mattress comfort layers sit over a robust support base layer. This feels sturdy and offers good support in all sleeping positions. It should accommodate people of most sizes.
The finer details
The HappySleep Mattress is somewhat basic in its design, but it should be sufficient for most budget-conscious shoppers. Overall build quality is fair, and partner disturbance is minimal. Edge support is a little lacking, but it is still within normal limits for a foam mattress.
The HappySleep Mattress has a solid 100 night trial period and a 10 year warranty. It is also worth mentioning that all foam layers in this mattress are certified as non-toxic by CertiPUR-US, one of the worlds leading authorities in foam testing.

Final verdict
The HappySleep Mattress is not the most sophisticated product, but it still offers good value in the online market. It has a nice balance of comfort and support, and comes with a 100 night trial period.
